Job Description

As a Full Stack QA Engineer (Mobile) at Playrix, you'll be responsible for testing games across mobile and desktop platforms, improving team processes and testing approaches, identifying and resolving issues collaboratively, and developing automated tests in Python. You'll work with various tools including TeamCity, 3uTools, ADB/AppCat, Charles Proxy, Qase, Sentry, and Amplitude. The role requires analyzing technical specifications, creating test documentation, and understanding the software development lifecycle, programming fundamentals, and client-server communication. Experience in manual testing of mobile applications (iOS/Android) or games and a strong foundation in writing automated tests are essential.

Full Stack QA Engineer (Mobile)

Team, about the role

We're looking for QA specialists for different areas of our products:

  • features: develop events and new mechanics from scratch
  • technical: optimization, performance improvement, and technical stability support
  • content: work on the main mechanics of the game such as match-3, meta, merge, etc. (adding new features, refactoring, optimization), release new game content

Tasks

  • Testing games on mobile and desktop platforms;
  • Improving team processes and testing approaches;
  • Finding problems and working with the team to fix them;
  • Writing autotests in Python;
  • Analyze, create, and update test documentation.

Our stack

  • We perform manual testing on a large number of platforms and we use TeamCity for builds;
  • We employ the following auxiliary tools: 3uTools, ADB/AppCat, Charles Proxy;
  • We use Qase to work with test cases, and we track crashes in Sentry;
  • We analyze data using the Amplitude functionality;
  • We automate tests in Python.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in manual testing of mobile applications (IOS/Android) or games;
  • Practical experience in writing autotests in any programming language;
  • Excellent self-organization and planning skills;
  • Experience in implementing and optimizing processes;
  • Experience with analytical systems, including error monitoring tools;
  • Ability to work with documentation: analyzing technical specifications, compiling test documentation;
  • Understanding of the development life cycle, programming fundamentals, and understanding of client-server communication.

Preferred

  • Experience with Asana, Qase/TestRail/TestIT, etc., Confluence/Coda, analytics systems;
  • Understanding of the specifics of working with casual projects and the match-3 genre.
