Functional Tester

5+ years in software testing.

Knowledge of Financial markets/BFS Domain

Working experience in Capital Markets domain

Worked in an environment with a structured test process, performing System and System Integration testing.

Experience in writing Test cases for different phases of testing like System Testing, E2E Testing, UAT testing etc.

Experience in contributing/writing Test Strategy, Test plan, Test summary etc.

Proven experience in test design based on in-depth technical and requirements analysis.

Had exposure to testing at the UI and the API level.

Experience in writing SQL queries to validate database results & writing and have basic to Mid database skills.

Worked as part of an agile, cross-functional team.

Ability to work & solve problems independently and working across multiple projects.

Delivery focussed demonstrated track record of seeing projects through to completion, whatever challenges arise.

Strong communication & collaboration skills, both written and verbal.

Attention to detail.

Exposure to status reporting ex. Create reports on system quality and collect metrics on test cases.

Demonstrate ongoing commitment to participation in professional development as per organisational policy & procedure.

Experience using Atlassian tools like JIRA, confluence, bit bucket etc. to create test artefacts.

Knowledge of Financial markets including products and transaction lifecycles.

Exposure to any of the tools like Cucumber or Specflow.

Knowledge on Finance / exchange systems knowledge of cash equity markets post trade processes (clearing, settlement) and systems highly regarded.

Exposure to non-functional testing, such as performance and load testing.

Knowledge of messaging protocols, such as FpML, SWIFT or FIX.

Exposure to automation ex. Running the test scripts or contributing to Test automation framework.
