Position Overview
As an Integrations & Innovations SME in Technical Sales, you are a key strategic partner supporting Autodesk’s most critical construction industry customers. This position combines deep technical acumen in project and enterprise-level systems integration with industry-leading insights into construction innovations and technology adoption. You’ll collaborate with Autodesk’s account teams to understand customer goals, identify opportunities, and deliver integrated solutions that optimize construction outcomes and business processes.
Leveraging expertise across both integration workflows and digital transformation, you’ll support complex sales opportunities, help shape Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) adoption strategies, and ensure customers realize measurable value from their technology investments.
Responsibilities
Technical Discovery and Integrated Solution Fit
Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to understand customer workflows, technology ecosystems, and integration requirements
Design tailored, innovative workflows using Autodesk Construction Cloud (Build, Docs, Takeoff, BIM Collaborate, etc.) and third-party applications like ERPs, accounting, and project management tools
Map Autodesk solutions to measurable KPIs and long-term customer business goals
Translate pain points into actionable integration strategies and solution roadmaps
Build Trusted Customer Relationships
Act as a strategic partner and technical advisor to construction clients across commercial, residential, industrial, and public infrastructure sectors
Provide continuous support throughout the sales journey and ensure a smooth handoff to post-sales and customer success teams
Engage with executive stakeholders to align Autodesk’s value with broader business and operational goals
Drive Sales Opportunities
Support high-priority and complex sales opportunities as an overlay SME focused on technical validation and integration feasibility
Partner with sales teams to develop account strategies, identify cross-sell opportunities, and accelerate deal cycles through technical insight
Participate in strategic briefings, technical evaluations, and proposal development efforts
Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders from field teams to C-suite decision-makers
Serve as a technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle—from pre-sales to adoption to expansion
Support post-sales teams in successful onboarding and implementation of integrations and innovations
Product Demonstrations and Presentations
Deliver compelling, story-driven product demonstrations customized to customer-specific integration needs
Represent Autodesk at industry events, webinars, and conferences as a thought leader on construction technology and integration
Enable Autodesk sales and technical teams through training programs and knowledge sharing
Technical Validation and Proposal Support
Support proposal development with technical validation, architecture recommendations, and alignment with project specifications
Collaborate on RFP and RFQ responses to ensure alignment with customer priorities and Autodesk’s value proposition
Accurately document technical criteria and project metrics in Salesforce and other internal systems
Industry Leadership and Advocacy
Maintain deep awareness of construction tech trends, integration capabilities, and ecosystem partnerships
Participate in associations, conferences, and social media channels to promote Autodesk’s position as a leader in construction innovation
Act as a voice of the customer, providing feedback to product, marketing, and engineering teams
Collaboration and Enablement
Collaborate with ACS partnerships, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Enablement to shape messaging and training
Drive the creation of scalable integration resources and documentation for use by sales teams globally
Influence product roadmap and strategic direction based on field insights
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in the construction industry (e.g., general contracting, preconstruction, project management, construction technology)
In-depth understanding of workflows from preconstruction to closeout, including estimating, scheduling, coordination, field execution, and operations
Proven ability to connect technology solutions to business outcomes in owner, contractor, and design-side organizations
Strong command of Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related digital construction technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and engage technical and non-technical audiences
Experience supporting software sales, including value-based selling and competitive positioning
Familiarity with CRM and documentation tools (e.g., Salesforce, Confluence, Smartsheet)
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and adaptability
Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer visits, workshops, and events
