The World of Emerging Game Platforms

The gaming landscape is rapidly evolving beyond traditional app stores. Players now dive into games instantly from platforms like Facebook, Discord, Netflix, and more. Even the web is resurging as a significant gaming channel, with HTML5 games reaching more players each year.

In this dynamic environment, where casual gamers have numerous platforms to choose from, CoolGames is at the forefront, publishing high-quality HTML5 games enjoyed by millions every month. We're expanding our portfolio and have an ambitious roadmap filled with exciting new game projects.

To achieve our goals, we're looking for a passionate Game Designer to join our team and help shape the future of casual gaming with engaging and commercially successful new game IPs.

About CoolGames and High-Quality Casual Games

Founded in 2010, CoolGames is a leading HTML5-specialized studio located in the historic center of Amsterdam. We develop high-quality casual games for emerging platforms beyond the app stores, including Facebook Play, Microsoft Start, Google GameSnacks, Discord, and numerous media and gaming websites worldwide.

Unlike many studios grappling with unsustainable user acquisition models, CoolGames thrives as the demand for our quality titles continues to grow. Our games feature deep meta-game layers, social and multiplayer hooks to enhance virality, and sometimes incorporate renowned third-party IPs. We monetize through a balanced mix of advertising, in-app purchases (IAP), and paid subscriptions.

When we launch a new game, it’s not the end of the development, but instead the beginning of a new life cycle. Our LiveOps teams continuously optimize the game experience, adding new content and features over time. Each game's roadmap is driven by KPI analysis and prioritization based on the required effort versus expected impact.

If you're someone with an analytical mindset who wants to understand the impact of game mechanics on player behavior and contribute to the ongoing success of our games, CoolGames might be the perfect place for you!
