Donkey Crew is an indie game developer looking for experienced humans to join our international team of passionate artists and programmers at our studio in the beautiful city of Wroclaw, Poland.

Currently we're developing our nomadic, survival MMO "Last Oasis" which was released to Early Access on Steam March 26th, 2020 and is made using Unreal Engine 4.

Game UX Specialist

Some of what you’ll do:

• • Conducting in-depth analysis of gameplay mechanics, interactions, and systems to identify areas of improvement in the player experience.

  • Collaborating closely with game designers, developers, and artists to integrate user experience enhancements seamlessly into the game.

  • Analyzing your own and players’ feedback to identify pain points, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Developing and communicating actionable recommendations to the teams based on UX best practices and industry trends.

  • Iterating and refining gameplay features, controls, camera systems, and other game elements to optimize the player experience.

  • Working closely with the UI team to ensure consistency between the user interface and the overall player experience.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• • Proven experience as a UX Specialist, UX Designer, or similar role in the video game industry.

  • Deep understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and player psychology.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data and user feedback into actionable points.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and collaboration capability, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to feature-oriented teams.

  • Proficiency in using industry-standard UX research and prototyping tools.

  • Passion for video games and a keen eye for detail in player experiences.

  • A portfolio demonstrating your previous work in video game UX (highly desirable).

  • Understanding of Unreal Engine 5 tools.
