Who we are:

Here at Jam Studio we are working on an exciting project: All Out. At All Out we are leveraging our experience creating viral content on Youtube to foster the development of watchable games. We are doing this by building a 2D gaming platform from the ground up for an amazing experience across all platforms. We are an early but mighty, small company with a leadership team of game industry veterans. There are many opportunities for you to have a big impact on the product we'll be making as well as the overall direction of the company. You will have the chance to define the projects you work on and hold a ton of responsibility within the All Out team. If you're passionate about tackling difficult problems, wearing many different hats and have a passion for gaming and YouTube culture this might be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development Proficiency: Proficiently utilize Unity3D for both design and development tasks, while effectively outlining programming specifications to guide implementation.
  • Code Creation and Scripting: Undertake the responsibility of crafting well-structured code in C#. This code will cater to diverse game systems such as artificial intelligence, physics, graphics, and sound, ensuring seamless integration and operational functionality.
  • Collaboration and Progress Coordination: Facilitate effective collaboration by coordinating efforts with the art, resource, and other relevant departments. This coordination ensures the smooth advancement of game development, with a focus on sustaining regular progress.
  • Performance Optimization: Take ownership of optimizing game performance to provide players with a polished and responsive experience. This involves identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, including load time reduction and resolution of performance-related concerns.
  • These responsibilities collectively contribute to the holistic game development process, ultimately leading to the creation of engaging and high-quality games. All related tasks within this scope will be diligently performed.

What we are looking for:

  • A talented developer to join the production team and help create some of the first games on the platform
  • Someone who thrives in an environment where they get to wear many different hats. This role will be doing everything from gameplay code, to UI development to VFX & polish
  • Experience with C#
  • Interest in mobile gaming and Youtube culture
  • Someone interested in working on a hybrid schedule with the in office component in Victoria, BC.
