Job Location: HSR Layout, Bangalore (on-site)

The Senior Fit Technician is responsible for owning and partnering with members of the Product Team to ready technical prototypes within seasonal timelines. You drive fit principles, bodies and protocol consistency across all categories of the business by leveraging manufacturing best practices, industry technical fit and pattern expertise, and market insights to educate and mentor on standards. Your goal is to deliver premium, functional, and innovative product fit for production.

Responsibilities:

• Execute short and long-term technical development and fit excellence strategies, working with strict timelines and calendar dates to deliver exceptional work, on-time.
• Responsible for the fit and execution of mid to high-complexity styles from concept through to production readiness
• Measure and analyze garments to determine compliance with measurements, workmanship, construction direction, and maintain fit intent
• Lead fittings and efficiently communicate fit or prototype changes, inclusive of updated style measurements, construction details in line with fit SOP, and rational to cross-functional external and internal partners, utilizing visual or verbal communication and/or tools
• Review Technical Packs for accuracy & completeness at various development stages, along with Product Team partners
• Understand points of measurements library and associated grade rules, and recognize when to apply and amend as required
• Maintain style data integrity and accuracy in relevant systems
• Drive internal process efficiency and fit excellence standards, collaborating with external partners as needed
• Maintain a knowledgeable overview of all product categories with the ability to support in strategic decision-making
• Set product fit consistency and best practices across relevant product categories
• Define and lead fit model strategy across specified categories to ensure appropriate breadth and depth of talent for all fittings and GTM meetings
• Support in the creation and maintenance of fit and construction standards and protocols
• Execute vendor onboarding training for new Suppliers on Pattern systems and quality standards / Measurement charts / Technical documents.
• Support and participate with Product Team partners in the organization and fit planning of vendor on-sites to review sampling and product development
• You work cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Sourcing, Raw Materials, Quality and Merchandising to understand accountabilities and requirements and to find functional solutions for each of your products.

Qualifications:

• Degree with focused training in Technical Design, Product Management, Product Development or relevant experience
• 5+ years minimum industry experience (preferably in women’s and/or men’s knitwear, base layers and intimates)
• Proficiency in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator ), MS Office (Excel/Word)
• Working knowledge of pattern-making software (example: Gerber Pattern Making and/or 3D software (CLO, Browzwear))
• Experience working directly with Pattern Engineers (external)
• Practiced in the art of mentoring and training others

A plus if you have the following Intimates experience:

• Extensive technical knowledge of Cup and Band and intimates product lifecycle, fit, construction, and manufacturing
• Advanced knowledge specifically in Bra moulding and Grading for production
• Exposure to fitting on Plus body types as well as multiple cup intentions
