Job Description
The General Superintendent will provide full-time site supervision, leading a team to ensure safety and quality compliance. Responsibilities include leading site inspections, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, monitoring site progress, maintaining site records (daily reports, progress photos), reporting potential delays, coordinating with stakeholders and contractors, managing site logistics, verifying contractor daily reports and day works, and ensuring quality control and safety compliance. The role requires managing contractor communication, ensuring adherence to safety plans, and maintaining site security. This involves issuing correction notices for defective works and managing contractor access procedures.

Job Summary:
CORE FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITES:
General
- Full time site supervision, leading a team of supervisors / COWs to uphold Safety and Quality compliance at the site front.
- Leading site inspections on material, finishes and testing to ensure compliance with drawing & specifications.
- Ensure contractors are working with latest and approved shop drawings.
- Monitor site progress and assist GC in forward site planning
- Ensure site records such as Daily Report /progress photo are properly maintained.
- Report for any potential delay of program and progress
- Co-ordinates and support various shareholders on site.
- Co-ordinates in the daily communications with the contractors, including:
- Manage site co-ordinations with contractors.
- Ensure that contractors comply with all Site Logistics.
- Ensure that contractors submit their Daily Reports.
- Verification of Contractor’s Daily Report.
- Verifies Day works including assessment of labour, materials and equipment on a daily basis
Quality Control
- Responsible for the installation quality, workmanship and standards ensures compliance with the specifications drawings and the approved QA/QC plan.
- Issue Correction Notices (CN) for any defective works, irregularity against safety and environmental issue
Safety Control
- Ensures the contractors work in a safe manner. All the construction tools are in good conditions and utilised properly
- Ensures contractors work according to the approved safety plan and report non-compliance regarding safety measures
Security Control
- Ensures the contractors provide the site which is secure at all times
- Ensure contractors to follow contractor access procedures, including material clearance procedure
Technical Skills and Requirements:
- Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering or Building Studies or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of solid site experience in construction projects, experience in Theme Parks or complex multi-disciplines project will be an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, contractor and field personnel
- 5 working days a week, and may work in night shift or irregular working hours if necessary
- Strong technical background
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Fluent speaking and writing English and Chinese
- Driving license (group 1 or 2) is expected
- Computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc) is expected
