The GFSS Travel and Expense Team Lead will provide leadership to the Travel & Entertainment Expense (T&E) Reporting processing team and manage operational functions. This role involves leading improvement projects related to T&E and corporate credit card systems, processes, and policies. The responsibilities include ensuring optimal team, system, and process performance, recommending and implementing efficient T&E policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with finance policies and federal requirements, driving top-notch internal service, monitoring and improving T&E processes, resolving complex issues, ensuring timely processing of expense reports, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and conducting performance reviews. The role requires interaction with business leaders to ensure the delivery of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and provides coaching, leadership, and development opportunities for employees.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of T&E process, system, and policy management
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Proven continuous improvement expertise
  • Deep experience with Concur Expense Reporting
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
Good to have:
  • Experience with Oracle (PeopleSoft)
  • Experience with Coupa (Procure-to-Pay)

What We'll Bring:

We are looking to bring a Team Leader in our Global Finance Shared Services (GFSS) Center in TransUnion’s Global Capability Center based out of Pune, India to provide leadership to the Travel & Entertainment Expense (T&E) Reporting processing team and manage the operational functions. Lead and drive improvement projects related to T&E and corporate credit card systems, processes and policies.

Key accountabilities include

  • Lead and drive improvement projects related to T&E and corporate credit card systems, processes and policies.
  • Ensure team, systems and processes are performing at an optimal level.
  • Recommend and/or develop and implement efficient and effective T&E policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance to all finance policies, procedures and federal requirements are met
  • Drive top-notch internal service and experience for our internal customers and stakeholders

Key Activities

  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place and are being executed
  • Monitor and improve the T&E processes
  • Resolve complex outstanding issues with internal and external customers, coordination with support departments and other stakeholders
  • Ensure timely processing and payments for expense reports
  • Drive and implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement
  • Interact with leaders in the business to ensure delivery of Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Provide coaching and leadership
  • Provide development opportunities for employees
  • Assist in prioritizing work
