NXP Semiconductors is seeking a Global Data Governance Specialist to join their Central Data Office. This role involves driving digital transformation in a high-tech industry by ensuring adherence to NXP’s enterprise data governance framework, including data practices, policies, standards, and data quality improvement. Responsibilities include engaging with stakeholders to implement the data governance roadmap, establishing roles and responsibilities for data stewardship, facilitating the development and implementation of data protection, quality standards, and policies. The specialist will also implement data management practices within data domains, monitor data quality metrics, and contribute to technology and functional roadmaps for data management. Must have:
  • Master's degree in IT, Data Analytics, Math, or Statistics
  • 5-10 years of experience in Data Governance/Management
  • Strong understanding of data governance practices
  • Experience implementing federated data domains
  • Knowledge of data and technology landscape
  • Knowledge of data best practices, privacy, and AI/ML
  • Strong communication skills for driving change

We are looking for a Global Data Governance specialist, to complement our Data Governance team. Location is flexible: Toulouse (FR), Eindhoven (NL). The Data Governance Manager will be ensuring adherence to NXP’s enterprise data governance framework for data practices, policies, standards and data quality improvement, both at a technical and functional level.

Your key responsibilities

  • Engage with internal stakeholders of your assigned data domains, supporting implementation of the enterprise data governance roadmap, building strong partnership to execute the data strategy
  • Help establish the roles and responsibilities related to Data Governance in your assigned data domains within the organization, ensuring accountability for the stewardship and data assets of NXP
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of all aspects of data governance, including data protection, data quality standards, definition of data products, adoption of policies and standards
  • Implement within data domains data management practices, principles and policies
  • Help implement data governance policies to key constituents including data stewards (workflow, processes, life cycle, business rules)
  • Help establish data quality metrics, monitor frequently and ensure adoption to quality requirements
  • Contribute to the technology and functional roadmaps for data management

Your profile

To be successful in this role you shall have:

  • Have Master degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field, and 5-10 years of experience in the industry or a service company in close relation with Data Governance and Data Management with value generation
  • Strong understanding of data governance and data management practices, with demonstrated experience in implementing federated data domains and data stewardship 
  • Knowledge and understanding of data and technology landscape of transactional systems, data management, processes and data analytics consumption
  • Knowledge of data related best practices, privacy, regulatory requirements and emerging technologies such as AI/ML and Generative AI
  • Strong communication skills used to drive change, inspire and guide data stewardship, influence business functions to support and engage with the principles of data and analytics governance
  • Demonstrate interpersonal capacities to collaborate and relate openly with diverse groups of international stakeholders across organizations build strong partnership, maneuver comfortably through complex policies, processes, people related organizational dynamics
  • You are reliable, accountable, a curious and persistent team player, proactive, structured, with drive and autonomy. Your hands-on mentality help you achieve results together with your project team
  • Agile/SCRUM Project management (including Jira tool) would be a plus
  • Experience with Semiconductor industry as a nice-to-have

What can you expect

Contract: This is a full-time position with a permanent contract. However, we are open to discuss a part-time opportunity (between 32 and 38 hours) as well.
