The Consultant, Global Insider Cyber Threat Analyst will join a globally dispersed team focused on cybersecurity and insider cyber threats, identifying potential data loss or sabotage incidents within TransUnion's systems. They will collaborate with Cybersecurity and Information Security to protect information. The Consultant will analyze data, conduct computer forensics, and use UEBA applications. Responsibilities include report writing, mentoring junior team members, and staying current on TransUnion policies and cybersecurity best practices. The role requires an investigative mindset, technical knowledge, and strong communication skills. The position is hybrid, requiring both virtual and in-person work at a designated TransUnion office.

What We'll Bring:

The Consultant, Global Insider Cyber Threat Analyst (Consultant) will join a globally dispersed team of professionals specialized in cybersecurity and insider cyber threat, to identify potential incidents of data loss, data destruction, or sabotage occurring on TransUnion information systems. The Consultant will collaborate with members of Cybersecurity and Information Security to secure TransUnion information and information systems against insider cyber threats.

What You'll Bring:

The Consultant, Global Insider Cyber Threat Analyst will conduct cybersecurity assessments into potential insider cyber threat activities based on log data, computer forensics, eDiscovery and user and entity behavioral analytics applications. The Consultant will write, edit, and publish English-language, college-level technical reports detailing their analysis, and be expected to assist more junior team members with analysis and report writing. The Consultant will be knowledgeable of insider risk behaviors exhibited by individuals with varying levels of computer technical knowledge, from limited to advanced. The Consultant will become expert in TransUnion Information Security Policy and TransUnion’s global business processes. The Consultant will follow, refine and create standard operating procedures, and comply with TransUnion policies, and Cybersecurity best practices.

Experience with insider threat tools, such as Data Loss Prevention, SIEM, UEBA, and computer forensics.

An understanding of computers, networking, servers, and cloud environments.

Experience working on a team detecting insider threats or utilizing insider risk controls.

Experience working on a team detecting cyber threats, such as in a Security Operations Center.

Cybersecurity or insider threat certifications.

BS or BA degree preferably in information security, cybersecurity or any combination of equivalent education, experience, and certified formal training.

Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for expressing technical details.

Passion for technology, innovation and optimizing processes.

A positive, friendly attitude that aligns with TransUnion’s corporate values and beliefs.
