  2. Team Leadership and Development – A key responsibility of this role is to foster a mature, high-performing team of Global Mobility professionals. Beyond ensuring operational excellence, the manager invests in developing team capabilities, encouraging external networking, and raising the team’s visibility both within the organisation and across the global mobility community.

The Global Mobility Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a comprehensive range of mobility solutions. They play an active role in shaping strategies, policies, and practices, while also identifying and resolving operational challenges to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities would include:

  • Manage relationships with external partners including relocation vendors, immigration lawyers, tax advisors, and other service providers.
  • Deliver training and guidance to HR teams and people managers on mobility programs, policies, and compliance topics.

Employee Experience

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees undergoing international transfers, ensuring a positive, high-touch experience from initiation through repatriation or permanent transfer.
  • Identify and address potential pain points in the mobility journey, proactively resolving challenges with empathy and professionalism.

Policy and Compliance

  • Contribute to/leads the development, governance, and continuous improvement of global mobility policies and frameworks.
  • Monitor global tax, immigration, and employment regulations to ensure compliance across all jurisdictions.
  • Drive consistency and equity in mobility offerings while allowing for localized flexibility as needed.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the end-to-end mobility process including assignment planning, cost projections, relocation logistics, and post-move support.
  • Evaluate and implement tools or systems to increase efficiency, tracking, and reporting of global moves.
  • Use data and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and support strategic decisions.
