About the team The vision of Global Music is to build a global community which enables users to discover, understand, create music, and express themselves and communicate with each other through music in the easiest manner. One of the key products under the Global Music team is SoundOn, which is an all-in-one platform powered by TikTok, designed to better service music creators through each step of their career — from TikTok integrated promotion tools to universal music distribution, from diverse monetization opportunities to smart music creation. SoundOn exists to give every music creator & label the power to authentically connect with new audiences and "do music" their way. TikTok is seeking a stellar finance BP who will be one of the critical finance partners to drive the success of SoundOn & TikTok Artist Services business. This role is based in Los Angeles. The new hire will work closely with TikTok Artist Services team to ensure the financial components of deals are optimised, be responsible for artist royalties including tracking, reporting and analysis. The new hire will play an integral role in assisting with the business decisions and will act as a strategic partner to Global Music team. Responsibilities - Provide strategic support and advice to functional heads and senior finance managers - Carry out the Financial Planning process including developing near-term and long-term budget plans, monitor budget implementation to ensure commitments are timely met, carry out variance analysis and update the budget/forecast periodically; - Work closely with the Global Music team and other internal stakeholders to assess the viability and ROI of global campaigns, potential licensing, recording, production and other artist and music related contracts, and be responsible for artist royalties tracking, reporting and analysis. - Build, maintain and review appropriate internal controls and financial procedures related to SoundOn & Artist Services activities, and be responsible for optimizing the financial practices, policies, programs, and procedures - Partner with business units and provide insightful and quality financial advice to support company’s business decision-making, and conduct industry analysis.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance or Accounting required. - Minimum of 5 years or more work experience in music industry finance related role required. - Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. - Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Thorough understanding of the financial aspects of recording and licensing contracts, as well as royalty administration and financial modelling in the music industry. - You are a great teammate and always have a positive and humble attitude. Preferred Qualifications - Advanced in excel, word, PPT, etc. SQL and Power BI is preferred.
