Why QS?

At QS, we believe that work should empower you. That’s why we foster a flexible working environment that encourages every employee to own their career whilst flourishing personally and professionally. Our company values underpin everything we do – we collaborate, respect and support each other.

Our diversity makes us stronger. By sharing our experiences, we learn from one another and achieve more together, driving progress across the sector.

At QS, you’ll be responsible for implementing real change in the international higher education landscape. You’ll take on meaningful challenges that see a positive impact across the business and the wider sector.

We’re confident you’ll feel right at home here. QS was named as one of Newsweek’s Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces® in the UK (October 2023), recognising the respect, trust and appreciation that drive our culture every day. And as a gold-accredited Investors in People organisation – putting us among the top 28% of workplaces globally – it’s official: QS is a place where everyone can thrive.

The role

This is a rare opportunity to join QS in a newly created role supporting two of our most innovative and impactful global university consortia: the Future17 SDG Challenge Program (www.Future17.org) and the pioneering Responsible AI Consortium.

If you’re passionate about sustainability, AI, and shaping the future of higher education and youth employability, this is your chance to make a tangible global impact.

As our Administrator, you’ll be at the very centre of the action - the vital connector behind the scenes who ensures everything runs like clockwork. You’ll coordinate across global time zones, support cutting-edge projects, and be the go-to person for a wide range of stakeholders, from leading universities and ambitious students to global industry partners.

This isn’t your typical administrative role. It’s for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-led environment, takes pride in meticulous organisation, and relishes being the calm, confident force that brings clarity to complexity.

We’re looking for:

  • A master of organisation with a proven track record in high-level administrative or project support
  • A confident communicator who builds collaborative relationships with ease
  • Someone excited to work at the intersection of education, innovation, and global change

If you’re ready to take on a role that is as meaningful as it is dynamic, and want to be part of something exclusive and globally significant, we’d love to hear from you.

Role responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary from Consortia to Consortia, key responsibilities across both of them will include the following:

  • Proactive calendar and communication management, including those of senior management team.
  • Keeping things moving and delivered: organise meetings, prepare materials (presentations, agendas, minutes, and action items), and track follow-ups to ensure priorities stay on track.
  • Maintenance of the data and records with precision.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work on tight deadlines in a fast-pace environment.
  • Keeping up to date of both internal and external trends to help shape continuous growth and development of the Consortiums.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and anticipate the needs of the Consortiums - going beyond task execution to add strategic value.
  • Expanding your impact: Candidates with an interest in getting involved in broader business operations - such as process optimisation, stakeholder engagement, or strategic initiatives - will have the opportunity to contribute beyond the above responsibilities.

Key skills and experience

We’re looking for someone with a positive collaborative attitude, great communication skills, and a passion for organisation. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and adapt, and ready to contribute to an exciting working environment.

But most importantly, we are looking for someone who can strongly relate to the QS values and has the ability to champion them.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Ability to work proactively and independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Experience of working on own initiative, to organise and prioritise work.
  • Familiarity with Higher Education or EdTech sector is beneficial.

Previous experience in an administrative or office support role is beneficial.
