Job Description

The Global Sourcing Manager will leverage procurement expertise to drive operational excellence and align supply strategies, overseeing end-to-end procurement for critical commodities like gaming PC power supply units. Responsibilities include supplier management (assessments, RFx, scorecards), cost management (negotiations, cost-reduction initiatives), supply chain management (contract management, risk mitigation, sourcing), and cross-functional collaboration (NPI support, stakeholder communication). The role requires strong analytical and communication skills. This role involves managing the supply chain and ensuring cost competitiveness and supply continuity for Corsair. The manager should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

General Purpose:

  • Leverages extensive procurement expertise to drive operational excellence and align supply strategies with dynamic business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Oversees end-to-end procurement and supply chain operations for critical commodities such as gaming PC power supply units (PSUs), cables and docking stations, ensuring consistent cost optimization and timely delivery.
  • Ensures strict adherence to the company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, as well as all relevant purchasing policies, procedures, and legal compliance standards.

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

Supplier Management

  • Conducts thorough supplier reliability assessments through on-site visits, cost and financial analysis (including P&L statements and D&B reports), quality system audits, and other performance data; prepares detailed supplier visit reports for internal review.
  • Leads the development of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs; evaluates supplier submissions, compiles analytical summaries, and provides data-driven recommendations to support informed decision-making during the supplier selection and onboarding process.
  • Manages and maintains supplier scorecards using defined KPIs to monitor ongoing performance; facilitates Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to drive continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.

Cost Management

  • Negotiates pricing, schedules, and terms with suppliers to secure optimal commercial agreements; proactively follows up on orders to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment.
  • Identifies and leads cost-reduction initiatives across the product lifecycle, including strategic sourcing and volume purchase opportunities to maximize savings.
  • Monitors procurement spend and cost-saving performance, sets quarterly savings targets, and develops global sourcing strategies aligned with overarching business objectives.

Supply chain management and sourcing

  • Manages complex and long-term supplier contracts, ensuring compliance and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Monitors supply chain health and stability, proactively identifying and communicating potential risks; collaborates cross-functionally to implement mitigation strategies such as second-source qualifications and last-time buys (LTB).
  • Sources new suppliers and expands existing supplier capabilities to support evolving business needs, ensuring cost competitiveness and supply continuity for Corsair; fosters strong, collaborative, and mutually beneficial partnerships.

Cross-functional collaboration and operation skills

  • Actively supports new product development and introduction (NPI) initiatives by partnering with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure timely completion of procurement-related deliverables.
  • Interfaces regularly with internal stakeholders and senior executives, as well as supplier leadership, to exchange critical information, resolve issues with professionalism and discretion, and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Possesses deep expertise in CM/ODM manufacturing processes, lead times, and operational efficiencies; effectively leverages internal and external resources to optimize the supply chain and enhance supplier performance in alignment with corporate objectives.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in procurement; Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Strong team player with a high sense of ownership over supplier relationships and program execution.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to escalate issues appropriately and troubleshoot effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in procurement and project management, with a track record of delivering results.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operational workflows; skilled in synthesizing detailed data into concise, actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Oracle and Tableau is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and presentation abilities; highly analytical with strong reporting capabilities.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
  • Prior experience in the computer hardware industry is a strong advantage.
