ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced Group System Administrator. The Group System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our global systems and our AWS infrastructure, ensuring system performance, security, and reliability.
- Manage global systems: Manage virtualization systems (VMware)
- Manage AWS Infrastructure: Set up, configure, and manage our global systems in AWS environments and services (IAM, VPC, Compute (EC2), Elastic Container Service, RDS (optional))
- Security Implementation: Implement security measures to protect our systems and data (deploy and maintain up to date Endpoint Security policy on systems and servers).
- Backup Operations: Perform regular backup operations and ensure successful data recovery.
- System Upgrades: Apply patches and upgrades regularly and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor System Performance: Continuously monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- System Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of all processes and systems.
- Cost Management: Estimate AWS usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms.
- User Support: Resolve issues reported by users and customers in a timely manner.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience: Proven experience as an AWS System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows based systems and of AWS services.
- Knowledge and skills of Linux.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001/IT security management.
- Excellent document writing.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or similar certification.
