This position is for an Application/Systems engineer as part of Automotive Systems Engineering and Marketing organization of NXP. The organization targets to make NXP the trusted partner, advisor, and then provider of customer’s vehicle architectures and system innovation. In that position, the talented employee will participate in exciting and innovative projects to prototype new vehicle architecture ideas and create reference designs for NXP’s customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for systems and applications software development/test and reference solutions design for automotive applications, like gateway, central computing, domain controller, zonal controller, ECU.

  • Collaborate with NXP global teams to create vehicle system solutions or support new product enablement.

  • Support both regional and global customers on NXP automotive products.

Job Qualification:

  • Master’s degree of automotive electronics, microelectronics, computer science, EE, software, or other relevant technical major.

  • Good programming skills in C/C++, RUST is a plus

  • Knowledgeable on automotive technology, vehicle EE arch, Linux, AutoSAR, TSN, security, functional safety, Android, Open Source Os.

  • Knowledgeable on microprocessor or microcontroller architecture.

  • Good interpersonal communication skills, able to comfortably work with multiple internal teams across global as well as customers.

  • Good skills in presenting complex technical subjects.

  • Proactively learner and passions for getting things done.

  • The candidate who can meet one or more criteria as below are strongly preferred:

    • Knowledge of Linux internals, Linux device driver, networking, multicore, kernel, virtualization.

    • Knowledge of embedded systems, RTOS, device driver, CPU core and instruction set knowledge.

    • Knowledge on Automotive SDV tooling (architecture, KPI measurement, debugging, cloud)

    • Knowledge in Ethernet, TSN, TCP/IP, router, switch.

    • Knowledge of ECU systems, gateway, CCU, VCU, Inverter, BMS, OBC, etc.

    • Knowledge on automotive Energy Distribution, DCDC, eFuse, eSwitch, etc.

    • Experiences on hardware design
