Playground Games is looking for a Graduate Level Designer to join our Forza Horizon team on a contract basis.

ABOUT US:   

As a premier first-party Xbox Game Studio, we are passionate about making genre-defining games that are accessible, beautiful, and most of all fun. We are looking to expand our diverse team as we continue driving forward our BAFTA award-winning Forza Horizon franchise.   

ABOUT THE ROLE:   

As a Graduate Level Designer, you’ll be working within the environment team collaborating with our established, talented artists and designers. You will use our in-house proprietary tools to work on multiple game features with a heavy focus on gameplay. 

Our ideal candidate is a promising and passionate applicant who has a strong interest in Level Design with a high focus on creating quality experiences.  

You will consistently push for quality, quickly and positively react to change, and be an excellent, approachable communicator. 

This is a contract role based in our state-of-the-art studio in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in the studio. Relocation assistance is available if required.   

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

  • Experience using 3D modelling packages and open-source Game Engines   
  • Demonstrate experience building whitebox environments   
  • A high quality focus on the players experience  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • A genuine passion for games
