Job Description

As a Group Account Director, you will partner with clients, own relationships, and lead projects. You'll anticipate problems, manage expectations, support your team, and develop client relationships. Internally, you'll foster strong relationships with team members, providing leadership and problem-solving. You'll work with Strategy and Creative teams, focusing on creative excellence and results. Responsibilities include financial planning, operational optimization, team development, client relationship management, and strategic business growth.
Must have:

  • Deep dive into client's business and understand brands.
  • Ability to manage workflow and prioritize workloads.
  • Experience with end-to-end digital creative solutions.
  • Knowledge of account management, project management and invoicing.

  • Understand how to integrate with client-side team.
  • Experience with Personal Skincare clients is a plus.
  • Embodies "can-do attitude" and constant positive force.
  • Schedule and manage team priorities and deadlines.
  • Brand guardianship.
  • Presenting work internally and to clients.
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI.
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial.

Role: Group Account Director

Location: Manila, Philippines

The Group Account Director is the client’s partner to bounce things around with and to own the relationship, and they are the agency leader to be responsible for projects, the team resource required and the work to be delivered. They think ahead, spotting problems before they occur, managing client and internal expectations, support their team both managing up and down, and contingency planning as they go.

They develop close relationships and a sense of partnership with their clients and foster trust based on their ability to deliver. This trust enables them to develop, nurture and protect the best work possible through the client process. Internally they have strong relationships with all team members and a thorough understanding of how to lead their team to create great work and help problem solve when it’s needed. They work in partnership with both Strategy and Creative, and are fluent in the strategic debates regarding their brands. They are passionate about our creative product and know what best in class looks like both in terms of creativity and results.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Financial Acumen and Planning
    • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of financial metrics to independently forecast business trends.
    • Identify peak periods and anticipate resource needs, preparing detailed budget proposals aligned with business objectives.
  • Operational Optimization and Team Structuring
    • Lead efforts to enhance operational efficiency by conducting regular reviews and optimizing processes at a macro level.
    • Collaborate with team leads to evaluate and align team structures with project demands and streamline delegation processes.
    • Resource Management - Working alongside the Creative Director to ensure you have the right people at the right time to deliver to client/ project needs
  • Development and Empowerment of Team
    • Delegate day-to-day project management tasks to Account Managers, focusing on empowerment through training and development.
    • Design and implement comprehensive leadership and project management training programs to ensure team members can manage projects independently.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Sustain and enhance client satisfaction through effective relationship management and strategic engagement.
    • Enable the account management team to build and nurture client relationships.
  • Strategic Thinking and Business Growth
    • Lead strategic planning initiatives to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and growth areas.
    • Develop a robust leadership pipeline by identifying and mentoring emerging leaders within the team.

 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships.
  • Passion for deep-diving into a client’s business to get under the skin of it and fully understand their brands, products, and ways of working
  • The ability to manage and filter workflow as well as organise and prioritise workloads to maximise productivity.
  • A strong understanding and experience of working with end to end digital creative solutions; particularly across Social Media, eCommerce and Social Commerce
  • Knowledge of account management, project management and invoicing.
  • Highly creative with the ability to generate ideas and practically contribute to studio output. Ambition to push for the best and create award-winning work
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.
  • Experience working with major Personal Skincare clients, as well as beauty or cosmetic brands a huge bonus
  • Embodies the “can-do attitude” and is seen as a constant positive force on the team
  • Schedule and manage team priorities and deadlines.

  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
