NetEase's FP&A team seeks an experienced manager to provide financial guidance and strategic partnership to its North American and/or European studios. This role involves driving revenue forecasting, managing studio P&L, performing insightful analysis, creating financial models, and preparing business reviews. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of FP&A experience in the gaming or tech industry, strong P&L management skills, and proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting. Experience with GAAP and excellent communication skills are also required. The role demands collaboration with various teams across different time zones.

A key component in scaling is our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, which provides strategic and financial partnership to NetEase’s global executive team.

You will be the FP&A support for our various studios across NA and/or Europe. This role requires an experienced financial analysis and partner to help drive continued growth in this high priority strategic franchise. Knowledge of the gaming industry, especially console games and game publishing business are a significant advantage. English as working language. Mandarin is a plus for ease of communication with our internal teams based in China.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide financial guidance and strategic partnership to our various studios’ leadership team
  • Be a strong business partner to our stakeholders for the studio financial planning process, including the quarterly, annual and long-range planning cycles
  • Drive revenue forecasting in collaboration with studio, data analytics and user acquisition teams
  • Drive insightful analysis to highlight variance drivers and identify opportunities to mitigate risk and improve performance via monthly, rolling forecasts and ad-hoc reporting
  • Provide oversight and partner with studio leadership to manage the studio P&L to maximize the health of the business, including budget spend tracking, headcount forecasting and tracking, purchase order and invoice tracking and monthly close activities
  • Create P&L modeling and evaluate opportunities in support of new business initiatives or new product incubation
  • Provide strategic advice and financial rigor, ensuring the implications of business decisions are understood & aligned with profitability goals
  • Prepare and hold business reviews for NetEase’s leadership team with clear and actionable presentation materials
  • Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, standardize and automate forecasting and reporting tools and processes
  • Collaborate with your studio partners, your international finance team and and other corporate functions
  • Foster an inclusive culture while working with passionate colleagues to create games that are fun

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of related finance experience 
  • Solid FP&A knowledge.
  • Experience with P&L management, financial modeling, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
  • Experience evaluating business performance metrics and translating to applicable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge
  • Experience in gaming and tech industry.
  • Knowledge of forecasting tools
  • Strong communication skills, be reliable and be flexible for cooperation with different time zones.
  • Flexibility with global working hours across NA, Europe, Asia

Votre rôle

Vous serez le support FP&A pour nos différents studios en Amérique du Nord et/ou en Europe. Ce poste exige une expertise en analyse financière et un rôle de partenaire stratégique pour favoriser la croissance continue de cette franchise stratégique de haute priorité. Une connaissance de l’industrie du jeu vidéo, en particulier des jeux sur console et du secteur de l'édition de jeux, constitue un avantage majeur. L’anglais est la langue de travail. La maîtrise du mandarin est un plus pour faciliter la communication avec nos équipes en Chine.

Responsabilités

  • Fournir des conseils financiers et un partenariat stratégique à l’équipe de direction de nos studios
  • Être un partenaire clé dans le processus de planification financière des studios, incluant les cycles de planification trimestrielle, annuelle et à long terme
  • Piloter les prévisions de revenus en collaboration avec les studios, les équipes d’analyse de données et d’acquisition d’utilisateurs
  • Réaliser des analyses approfondies pour identifier les écarts et les opportunités d’amélioration des performances à travers des prévisions mensuelles, des analyses continues et des rapports ad hoc
  • Superviser et collaborer avec la direction du studio pour gérer le P&L du studio, en optimisant la santé financière de l’entreprise (suivi des dépenses budgétaires, prévisions et suivi des effectifs, suivi des commandes et factures, clôtures mensuelles)
  • Développer des modèles P&L et évaluer les opportunités pour soutenir les nouvelles initiatives commerciales ou l’incubation de nouveaux produits
  • Fournir des conseils stratégiques et garantir une rigueur financière, en veillant à ce que les décisions commerciales soient alignées sur les objectifs de rentabilité
  • Préparer et présenter des revues d’activité claires et exploitables pour l’équipe dirigeante de NetEase
  • Identifier et piloter des initiatives visant à améliorer, standardiser et automatiser les outils et processus de prévision et de reporting
  • Collaborer avec vos partenaires en studio, votre équipe financière internationale et les autres fonctions corporate
  • Encourager une culture inclusive tout en travaillant avec des collègues passionnés pour créer des jeux amusants

Exigences

  • 7 à 10 ans d’expérience en finance
  • Solide connaissance de la FP&A
  • Expérience en gestion de P&L, modélisation financière, prévisions, reporting et analyse
  • Capacité à évaluer des indicateurs de performance et à formuler des recommandations pertinentes
  • Maîtrise des principes comptables et des normes GAAP
  • Expérience dans l’industrie du jeu vidéo et de la tech
  • Connaissance des outils de prévision financière
  • Excellentes compétences en communication, fiabilité et flexibilité pour coopérer avec différentes zones horaires
  • Disponibilité pour des horaires de travail globaux en Amérique du Nord, Europe et Asie
