Group Tax Manager, Maternity Cover (16 months)

We are seeking a highly skilled and operational Group Tax Manager for a maternity cover for approximately 16 months to manage and oversee tax activities for the parent company as well as all subsidiaries in the Milestone Group.

As the Group Tax Manager, you will serve as the senior specialist and go-to person for all corporate tax matters across the Milestone Group, with a strong focus on Denmark-based operations. You’ll be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, reporting, planning, and risk management, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure Milestone remains compliant and tax efficient.

Key Responsibilities
As a Group Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Manage and oversee corporate tax compliance for Milestone Systems A/S and all its subsidiaries.
• Act as the primary contact for Danish tax authorities, managing tax audits and correspondence.
• Handle and advise on Danish corporate tax matters, VAT, and other indirect taxes.
• Provide support for international tax and transfer pricing matters (moderate scope).
• Maintain and implement group-wide tax policies and internal tax governance framework.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and external advisors to support tax planning and business decisions.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess implications for the group.
• Support month-end closing processes from a tax perspective and ensure accuracy in tax reporting.
• Review all tax returns on group-level prior to being submitted locally
• Prepare the tax return for the Danish parent company, including aligning with other group companies under the Danish joint taxation scheme  
• Calculate current and deferred tax monthly for it to be included in the monthly financial close process, and review Group tax postings to identify any errors on group-level
• Consolidate and communicate the Milestone Groups tax position to the Parent Group on a quarterly basis
• Update of TP master file and review of local files updated by global service provider

Key projects you will focus on

• Support the launch of a new tool stack for all revenue-generating activities, especially around aromatization of indirect taxation determination and reporting.
• Support the launch of a new product stack centered around a consumption-based business model by taking lead on the tax implications created by the launch.

Your Profile 
We are looking for someone who is structured, analytical, and confident navigating complex tax scenarios. You are a trusted advisor and business partner who can communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Furthermore, we hope you see yourself in most of below:

• Master’s degree in Tax Law, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (e.g., cand.merc.jur., cand.merc.aud., or similar).
• Extensive experience in a corporate tax role or from a tax advisory firm.
• Strong knowledge of Danish corporate tax regulations and familiarity with international tax concepts.
• Experience with VAT and indirect taxes; working knowledge of transfer pricing is a plus.
• Proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (currently using BC14) is advantageous.
• Proactive and detail-oriented with strong risk awareness.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to translate complex tax issues into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced international environment.
