The Hardware Development Engineer will be part of the Mac team. The candidate will design, implement, test, and debug the electrical subsystem, develop test and failure analysis procedures to ensure a high level of quality for the product. Responsibilities include component data-sheet analysis and selection for schematic capture, coordinating layout of highly constrained multilayer PCBs including HDI and fine pitch BGAs, forecasting and planning design time, driving design tradeoffs across various stakeholders, prototype bring-up, debug, functional verification, and electrical characterization. The engineer will also use advanced lab tools, analyze factory-scale data, review designs of factory test fixtures, and debug problems found in manufacturing.
