You as part of tonies:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Global Corporate Communications (all genders) to lead our global communications efforts. This role is key to enhancing the company’s reputation, shaping a unified communications strategy, and strengthening the tonies brand. The ideal candidate will have expertise in strategic communication and a hands-on approach to driving our corporate narrative, defending our position as a category creator and ensuring consistent messaging across all markets.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and implement a unified global communications strategy, replacing country-specific approaches with a cohesive narrative.
  • Differentiate the company’s story within the sector, ensuring consistent messaging across key audiences.
  • Leverage high NPS and word-of-mouth advocacy to amplify communications and resonate authentically with current and prospective audiences.
  • Defend tonies as the original Category Creator, ensuring this message is consistent across media and stakeholder engagements.
  • Promote audio storytelling, particularly in the USA, while maintaining a strong global brand identity.
  • Build tonies' credibility in select strategic areas with internal and external experts.
  • Collaborate with brand and marketing teams to define and execute a communications plan that supports corporate messaging.
  • Oversee internal and external communication channels to ensure cohesive and strategic messaging across departments.
  • Manage relationships with management, Investor Relations, and key stakeholders, ensuring compliance and proactive crisis management.
What we are looking for:
  • Experienced communications leader with at least 8 years in a publicly listed, global B2C company, acting as a trusted advisor to executives in dynamic industries (e.g., CPG/FMCG, Media & Entertainment, Toys).
  • Hands-on leader with international experience, advising business leaders and executing strategies across functions and markets, thriving without reliance on a large support team.
  • Savvy financial communicator with expertise in capital markets and investor relations, delivering impactful messaging in a global financial environment.
  • Digital, data-driven, and metrics-oriented, experienced in communications reporting, using brand/reputational tracking tools, and leveraging social media as a strategic communication tool.
  • Proven track record in shaping corporate narratives and thought leadership, connecting internal messaging with clients, stakeholders, media, and investors, while fostering customer advocacy and high brand loyalty.
  • Strong media network with senior contacts, adept at managing stories, crisis communications, and ensuring consistent, high-impact media coverage with integrity.
  • Willing to work from our Düsseldorf headquarters 2–3 days per week to foster collaboration and team alignment.
