Summary

As Head of Legal - EU Platform Regulations, you'll ensure Trendyol's EU platforms comply with DSA, P2B Regulation, GPSR, and Geo-Blocking regulations. Responsibilities include developing and implementing compliance procedures across the EU (Germany and CEE), advising product and category teams on required controls, conducting legal research and assessments, and acting as a point of contact for compliance matters. You'll work closely with business teams and the legal operations team to monitor adherence to regulations and ensure platform compliance. This role requires a qualified lawyer with 10+ years of experience in platform regulations within the e-commerce sector, strong knowledge of product safety, platform, and IP rights.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Legal Team is more than just a legal team: it's a part of business design and an overall representitive of the company at large. The team provides support in line with corporate law, contracts, labor, competition, transportation and regulatory requirements to meet the day-to-day needs of other teams. 

We are all working with the same purpose: To create a positive impact in our ecosystem by enabling commerce through technology.

The international legal team is looking for a new team member to join the adventure of CEE expansion. You will be in charge of all EU platforms regulations

Your Main Responsibilities

    • You will take the ownership of flatform specific regulations and the compliance management procedure cross EU (DE& CEE)
    • Ensure our platforms are compliant with DSA, P2B Regulation, GPSR, and Geo-Blocking regulations
    • Provide legal ops team with the required legal actions and will monitor the proper implementation of Platform Regulations
    • Develop and coordinate implementation with business teams and monitor the adherence to rulesets
    • Being the POC of product compliance, category & MP teams for new product categories and advice on strictly required controls (proactive and preventive) at product and platform level
    • Conducts the research and performs assessments.

Qualities We are Looking for

    • You are a qualified lawyer in one of EU countries, Germany or Romania
    • 10+ years of experience in platform regulations: development, implementation and monitoring
    • You have proven track of experience in E-Commerce business
    • Knowledge in product safety, platform and IP right is a must

We offer a hybrid model that combines the productivity of remote work with the bonding and collaboration of in-office work. Teams are expected to work from our offices on designated days each week, fostering team spirit, creativity and cross team collaboration as part of our culture.

We also provide a summer working model, with a two-month fully remote work opportunity during July and  August.

The hybrid working model only applies to hybrid roles; on-site roles require regular office presence.
