REALTIME is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to join their highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in a dynamic setting. The role requires outstanding organisational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. This position will report directly into the CEO and will be responsible for the management of HOD’s and Operations teams. The Head of Operations will work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for the company. This position will report directly into our CEO and will be responsible for the management of our HOD’s and Operations teams. Responsibilities include working with HODs and Producers to ensure they are provided with sufficient resources to meet their project objectives and agreed margins, being the key point of contact for issues arising in productions, and working with the Head of Pipeline Technologies and HOD’s to monitor production tools, workflows, new show pipeline needs, and procedures. The Head of Operations is also responsible for ensuring the highest possible utilization of staff across the studio and working closely with the HOD’s to keep us at the forefront of the latest industry tools and developments both for artist tools and those for back-office solutions.
Must have:
  • 5 years of experience in a Studio Management or overall Production Management role in an established VFX or post-production studio
  • Thorough knowledge of production and post-production pipelines in general
  • Well organised, excellent presentation and strong communication skills with attention to detail
  • Be motivated, solution orientated with a positive attitude
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Perform well under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing different tasks to achieve the project goals
  • Flexible, responsive and diplomatic, you adapt easily to a working group and you have already managed teams at a high level

To help us continue growing, we’re seeking an experienced Head of Operations to join a highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in a dynamic setting. The role requires outstanding organisational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. The Head of Operations will work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for the company. This position will report directly into our CEO and will be responsible for the management of our HOD’s and Operations teams.

The main responsibilities of this position are to deliver REALTIME’s key overall strategy, facilitating the needs of production by working together with heads of departments to support them in meeting their targets. The Head of Operations has oversight of all studio budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the FD and CEO.

This position is fully remote within the UK.

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

• Work with HODs and Producers to ensure they are provided with sufficient resources to meet their project objectives and agreed margins

• Key point of contact for issues arising in productions, escalating issues and recommendations to relevant stakeholders and CEO where needed

• Work with the Head of Pipeline Technologies and HOD’s to monitor production tools, workflows, new show pipeline needs and procedures

TALENT, HR & PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

• Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager, IT, Producers and HOD’s to facilitate production resource is acquired on time to meet production deadlines

• Work alongside the HR Manager and the Head of Skills and Development to implement effective HR policies and support the development of internal staff

• Work closely with the Head of Systems Technology to evolve the onboarding experience to the best it can be and constantly review

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

• Ensure the highest possible utilisation of staff across the studio.

• Work closely with the HOD’s to keep us at the forefront of the latest industry tools and developments both for artist tools and those for back-office solutions

• Bridge any communication gaps between Production and the Systems Technology Team

BUDGETARY CONTROL

• Responsible for checking studio approved budgets sit within agreed margins, alongside the Finance Director and the CEO.

• Meeting regularly with Producers and Heads of departments to monitor their project status and margin and ensure that they are working within given targets

MUST HAVE SKILLS AND QUALITIES

• 5 years of experience in a Studio Management or overall Production Management role in an established VFX or post-production studio
