Why this role is important to us

SimCorp is seeking a seasoned and strategic enterprise sales leader to join us as the Head of Sales for Canada. In this high-impact role, you will drive growth across the Canadian market, with a mandate covering both asset managers and asset owners within the institutional investment space.

As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and executing our go-to-market strategy, generating new business, and managing key relationships with our most significant and complex clients. You will also lead a team of four experienced sales professionals and be accountable for establishing Canada as a major revenue-generating region for SimCorp.

You’ll lead the sales process for SimCorp’s comprehensive front-to-back investment management platform, encompassing risk analytics, portfolio management, trading, compliance, investment operations, accounting, fund administration, and more.

This role requires excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage and influence at the C-suite level across a diverse client base. You’ll combine strategic leadership with hands-on client engagement to deliver meaningful growth and long-term value.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Serving as the Head of Sales for Canada, taking ownership for new-business and growing our largest existing clients ensuring satisfaction and continued development of the region
  • Be a leader and a culture carrier in the Toronto office working a minimum of 3 days a week from the office or a client site, with flexibility of location for the 2 remaining days per week
  • Identify and qualify leads while building a robust pipeline of opportunities to meet and exceed individual sales targets.
  • Develop compelling, ROI-driven business cases that clearly articulate the value SimCorp delivers in financial terms.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle, coordinating internal resources and working collaboratively to drive each opportunity to successful closure.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all sales activities using Salesforce and other tools to ensure transparency and informed decision-making across the business.
  • Demonstrate strong drive and attention to detail to ensure all viable sales opportunities are identified, pursued, and progressed effectively.
  • Plan and facilitate client presentations, workshops, and proof of concept sessions in partnership with the pre-sales team.
  • Lead the creation of client proposals, tender responses, contracts, and related documentation, adhering to SimCorp’s internal processes and approval protocols.
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives across the Canadian market while cultivating strategic partnerships with local collaborators.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the institutional investment landscape, including the needs and priorities of both asset managers and asset owners.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to help SimCorp maintain its competitive edge.
  • Represent SimCorp at industry events and tradeshows as needed to promote brand visibility and thought leadership.

What we value

  • Proven successful track record in large solution-based sales (ideally SaaS), repeatedly meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to qualify opportunities, analyse clients’ needs and identify a sales strategy for each qualified opportunity.
  • Experience of taking an identified client opportunity through a structured sales cycle.
  • Detailed understanding of the Asset Managers, Asset Owners, Insurance and Financial Services Industry.
  • Ability to sell a concept as well as a solution.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills, with the ability to focus on and understand customer requirements within the context of SimCorp’s solution.
  • Ability to cooperate and work collaboratively with colleagues and customers to reach solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
  • Availability to work out of the SimCorp office 2-3x/week as per our hybrid work policy.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
