We’re seeking a Head of Sound and Music Production who is as passionate about crafting immersive audio as we are about making games. In this role, you’ll lead our audio team to create dynamic, high-impact soundscapes that elevate the Hacksaw experience across our diverse range of titles.


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Audio Vision: Define and execute the overall audio strategy for Hacksaw Studios, ensuring every sound and music track complements our innovative game designs and captivates our players.
  • Creative Leadership: Manage and inspire a talented team of sound designers and composers, driving creativity and excellence in all audio assets.
  • Craft Immersive Soundscapes: Collaborate closely with game designers, developers, and artists to ensure sound and music are seamlessly integrated into gameplay, creating an immersive experience for players.
  • Innovate in Audio: Experiment with new audio techniques, sound technologies, and creative processes to keep Hacksaw’s audio experience ahead of the curve. 
  • High-Quality Audio Production: Oversee the production of all in-game sound effects and background music, ensuring they meet our premium standards for quality and innovation.
  • Streamline Audio Pipelines: Optimize workflows and processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of audio assets across multiple projects.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in sound design and music production, with proven experience in gaming or entertainment.
  • Creative Vision & Innovation: A passion for breaking new ground in sound design, with a strong understanding of how audio enhances gameplay and player engagement.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire creative teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in industry-standard audio tools and a solid understanding of the latest production techniques.
  • Passion for Games: A genuine passion for gaming with a strong understanding of what makes audio impactful in games.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Experience working closely with game designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure sound aligns with the overall game vision.
