We’re looking for a talented Houdini Generalist as we launch into an exciting growth journey!

This is a fulltime role located in our cool and vibey Brisbane studio close to the James Street Precinct in Fortitude Valley.

Alt.vfx is an Australian visual effects company with a global focus across film, television and commercials with studios in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Los Angeles and Tokyo. We partner with a variety of clients across a diverse slate including Netflix, Hulu, Paramount, NBCUniversal, Sony, Amazon and many more!

About the Role

This is a uniquely blended role. As an Alt Houdini Generalist you will be combining your more traditional Houdini skills with lighting, rendering and emerging technology!

The ideal candidate will have experience across TVC as well as film, and understand the busy workflow of a world-leading VFX and post production studio.

What makes you standout!

• You’re a people person and a valued team player!
• 2+ years’ experience would be great but it’s more about your potential
• Experience in CG graphics
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Computer animation or another relevant area of study
• You’re excited to continue your learning journey and open to feedback
• Bonus points…..Redshift, V-Ray, RenderMan, Arnold renderer experience!
• Real-Time rendering a plus!
• Know your way around Nuke – you’ve got our attention!
