This position is a 1 year (12 month), 32-40 hours per week position
What You Will Do
You will ensure that all requirements of Valeo Group are identified, established and implemented
You will check that safety and security equipment are in compliance with requirements
You will carry out risk analysis and monitor regulatory survey
You will help establish the site “Health, Safety, Security and Environment” operation procedures and oversee their application
You will carry out inspections and internal audits, make recommendations and specify corresponding actions as well as the responsibility for implementing it
You will assist in implementing and monitoring action relating to the handling of any non-compliance revealed by the inspections, internal audits and external audits, taking the necessary investments into account.
You will update and complete Safety Data sheets, plus ergonomic and PPE assessments
You will review and update Safety and Environmental work instructions
What You Should Have
You should be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in an environmental or occupational safety related field (i.e. Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar) OR be an April/May 2025 graduate of one of these types of programs
You should have the ability to work 40 hours per week from June - August
You preferably have completed classes in equipment lockout/tagout, chemical safety, and OSHA/EPA
Hourly Rate for this role:
Freshman: $16.00
Sophomore: $17.00
Junior: $18.00
Senior: $19.00
