Summary

The HR Coordinator at Nexon America will manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle for approximately 200-300 employees. Responsibilities include bi-weekly payroll processing, employee onboarding (including orientation and new hire support), handling employee inquiries, maintaining HRIS data, coordinating employee events, creating internal communications, generating HR metrics, and assisting with benefits administration. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, along with attention to detail and an understanding of confidentiality. This position offers a hybrid work model and is a great opportunity for an HR professional to gain broad experience within a supportive company culture.

Summary of Position

Nexon has an exciting new role for an HR Coordinator who will drive and own all tasks related to the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Manager, HR Operations, this is a great opportunity for an HR professional to gain exposure to all facets of Human Resources, including but not limited to: Payroll, Onboarding, Reporting, Benefits Admin, HRIS Maintenance, and more!

We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly payroll for approximately 200-300 employees
  • Own employee onboarding, including conducting and continuously improving new hire orientation, and serving as the main point of contact to new hires throughout the onboarding process
  • Handle general first tier questions from employees on existing policies or procedures and escalate to senior team members as necessary
  • Maintains, prepares, and updates all employee information and company documentation in HRIS
  • Coordinate and manage monthly employee events for the executive team, ensuring that all logistics, communications, and scheduling details are handled
  • Draft and distribute employee-facing communications that are clear, engaging, and aligned with company tone and objectives
  • Generate and provide payroll and HR metrics to Accounting and Global HQ
  • Assist in the administration of all benefits program
  • Provide assistance to the HR & TA Team
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Experience

  • 2+ years of HR experience
  • 1+ years of Payroll experience
  • Gaming, Entertainment, High Tech industry, a plus
  • Familiarity with Paycom HRIS, a plus

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational/time management skills
  • Able to consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong background in MS Office
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding of confidentiality and privacy issues

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (hourly)

The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $26.00 - $30.00 hourly.

Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual’s pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
