Summary

AVER is seeking an Informatica SME to support development, testing, and deployment of Informatica ETL solutions. Responsibilities include utilizing Informatica PowerCenter, developing requirements, assisting with system improvements, enhancing data processing with Informatica and Data Lake Pipelines, providing Informatica administration, solving data integration requirements, testing solutions, optimizing ETL processes, improving collaboration between business data owners and the Informatica team, automating workflows, and developing a plan for implementing best practices. The role requires experience with structured and unstructured data, Informatica PowerCenter development and administration on Linux, upgrading/patching Informatica environments, supporting production jobs, REST API, JSON, Python & Unix Shell scripting, and SQL, PL/SQL, and PowerShell. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust).
Must have:
  • 10+ years Informatica ETL experience
  • Informatica PowerCenter development & testing
  • Informatica administration on Linux

  • REST API, JSON, Python & Unix Shell scripting

Description

AVER is a fast-growing SDVOSB that has achieved significant revenue growth over the past 5 plus years with much of our work focused on Data Analytics, Mission Support, IT Modernization and Biometrics. AVER is seeking an Informatica SME, who is a technical expert to support development, testing, and deployment of Informatica Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) solutions at an enterprise level spanning application development, SharePoint, and data services. Responsibilities Include:   
  • Utilize three main components of the ETL product including Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica PowerCenter Repository, and Informatica PowerCenter Server
  • Develops requirements from a project's inception to its conclusion for a particular IT subject matter area
  • Assist project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts across information systems architecture
  • Use databases and creates data modeling and changes to SQL statements in Oracle
  • Enhance data processing with Informatica and Data Lake Pipelines, improve data management with Oracle Exadata, SQL Server, and Azure SQL
  • Provide Informatica administration, and provide technical support of existing mappings
  • Solve existing and evolving data integration requirements using the Informatica tool set
  • Apply the correct ETL design to push data to required targets
  • Test Informatica ETL solutions and ensure data quality remains intact during any data transformation operation
  • Provide solutions to optimize ETL processes, mappings and functions to improve data quality, data security and data consistency
  • Improve the collaboration between business data owner and CIO Informatica team to enhance operational data integration
  • Automate web service Informatica workflows per project requirement
  • Provide a means for the Informatica Group to improve its ability to scale and support growing data volumes and workloads
  • Develop a plan for implementation of Informatica ETL best practices
  • Implement Informatica solutions to integrate and analyze metadata from disparate systems
  • Determine, document and develop a plan on how to manage the Informatica repository and Security Management at all levels including Informatica tool, repository and server
  • Execute performance tuning techniques at all levels of the Informatica installation
  • Assist the Quality Assurance team during testing and validation of ETL mappings within the Informatica environments
  • Plan and execute the transformation of data based on requirements using Informatica built-in transformations
  • Provide the ability within the Informatica tool set to access data from various heterogeneous sources including structured, unstructured and semi structured data source (RDBMS, XML, Flat Files, Legacy Applications, etc.)
  • Provide weekly status updates in a government-specified format and any other reporting/documentation needed per the government’s request
Education Requirements:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
 Experience Requirements:    
  • Informatica (ETL) SME with 10+ years of technical analysis experience, including the following skills:
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data when extracting and loading data into targets
  • Experience in Informatica PowerCenter Development and Unit testing
  • Experience in Informatica PowerCenter administration on Linux environments
  • Experience in Upgrading/patch Informatica environment
  • Experience in support and trouble shoot the production jobs
  • Experience in REST API, JSON, Python & Unix Shell scripting
  • Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, PowerShell
 Desired Requirements:  
  • Experience as an Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) subject matter expert
  • Experience with Microsoft Data Factory
  • Experience with Informatica IDQ and Cloud migration preferred
Location:  
  • REMOTE (Local to Washington D.C.)

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust)
