Project description

Informatica Technical lead, involved in designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of data integration and ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), and other Informatica products. To collaborate closely with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to create scalable, resilient, and efficient data solutions that align with the client's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Data Architecture Design and Strategy:

Lead the design and architecture of complex data integration solutions using Informatica tools, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy.

Develop data models, data flows, and data integration strategies to support the bank's data analytics and reporting needs.

Evaluate and recommend new data integration technologies, tools, and processes to enhance the bank's data infrastructure.

2. Informatica Development and Optimization:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, and other Informatica tools.

Optimize existing Informatica workflows and mappings to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.

Ensure data integration processes adhere to data governance, quality, and compliance standards.

3. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data across systems and platforms.

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Informatica, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to junior developers and team members.

4. Technical Leadership and Best Practices:

Establish and enforce best practices for data integration, ETL development, and data management within the team.

Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and performance tuning exercises to maintain high standards of data integration solutions.

Lead initiatives to improve data integration processes, automation, and deployment methodologies (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).

5. Project Management and Delivery:

Lead data integration projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Manage risks, dependencies, and resources effectively to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Prepare and present project status reports, technical documentation, and architectural designs to senior management and stakeholders.

Skills

Must have

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data integration and ETL development, with at least 5 years working extensively with Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Cloud (IICS).

Proven experience as an Informatica Technical Lead, SME, or Senior Developer in a large-scale enterprise environment, preferably in the financial services sector.

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema), and data integration best practices.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), and other Informatica products (e.g., Data Quality, MDM).

Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or Snowflake.

Experience with data lakes, big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and data security standards.
