Job Summary
Job Description
Fairmatic is looking for a motivated and talented Information Security Lead to own and spearhead the Information security initiatives for the digital privacy and security of our end users, SaaS and Insurance Products. In this role, you will work across teams with insurance and engineering backgrounds to introduce and implement ISMS (Information Security Management System) policies, meet compliance requirements and develop secure engineering practices. You will take part in the product development process to devise and implement strategies (platform, processes, tools, etc) for application and data security. Key responsibilities include leading company-wide information security initiatives to meet privacy compliance and regulatory requirements, owning product security and ensuring data security & privacy aspects are continuously monitored, implementing procedures and policies documented in the company ISMS, performing regular audits, developing and implementing tools to assist in the vulnerability management, and exemplifying and fostering Fairmatic's culture.
Must have:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Information Security
- Experience in third party reviews and risk management
- Stakeholder management, application security reviews, internal audits
- Working knowledge in managing privacy compliances such as CCPA, GDPR
- Expert knowledge on compliance standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC2
- Ability to guide and influence product and engineering design
- Good foundational understanding of modern Web application design and network architectures
- Understand practical challenges and drive initiatives
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Self-driven and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process

About The Team:
We are looking for a motivated and talented Information Security Lead to own and spearhead the Informationsecurity initiatives for the digital privacy and security of our end users, SaaS and Insurance Products. In thisrole, you will work across teams with insurance and engineering backgrounds to introduce and implementISMS (Information Security Management System) policies, meet compliance requirements and develop secure engineering practices. You will take part in the product development process to devise and implement strategies (platform, processes, tools, etc) for application and data security.
A day in the life:
- Lead company-wide information security initiatives to meet privacy compliance, and regulatory requirements, e.g. CCPA, SOC2.
- Own Product security and ensure data security & privacy aspects are continuously monitored throughout the lifecycle including architecture and design reviews.
- Implement the procedures and policies as documented in the company ISMS (Information Security Management System). Perform regular audits, and work with teams across the org to ensure security practices are compliant as stipulated in ISMS - evolve and improve the ISMS as appropriate.
- Develop and implement tools to assist in the vulnerability management, detection, prevention, and analysis of security threats - and monitor the same.

If you feel we’re describing you, it was meant to be:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Information Security domain with a proven record of implementing and managing security standards across the organization.
- Must have experience in third party reviews and risk management, stakeholder management, application security reviews, internal audits, and customer questionnaires.
- Working knowledge in managing privacy compliances such as CCPA, GDPR.
- Expert knowledge on compliance standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC2.
- Ability to guide and influence product and engineering design as part of the Product Development Life Cycle, so that they adhere to security policies, and best practices.
- A good foundational understanding of modern Web application design and network architectures.E.g. HTTP APIs and related protocols, Cloud Infrastructure, and Mobile (Android / iOS) platforms.
- Understand practical challenges and drive initiatives by collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Self-driven and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.
