Job Description

Varonis is seeking a Software Automation Engineer to join its DevOps-CI group. The role will involve developing, maintaining, and improving the automation framework to ensure high levels of organizational quality. Responsibilities include creating new automation frameworks, tools, and tests, leading automation and frameworks tools and test developments, testing both in production and staging environments, owning the CI/CD tools and processes, collaborating with R&D in agile squads, and providing framework expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience in OO languages (Java/C#), designing and developing automation frameworks and infrastructure, leading large-scale projects, and working through a complete product cycle. Strong design, coding, and debugging skills are essential.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in OO languages (Java/C#)
Experience with system automated test development
Experience designing and developing automation frameworks
Experience with CI/CD
Experience working with SQL Databases
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills (Hebrew & English)

Good to have:

Experience with Docker
Experience with microservice architecture
Experience with Rest API

We are looking for a Software Automation Engineer for our DevOps-CI group to develop, maintain and improve the automation framework to ensure the highest level of organizational quality.

Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to shape the development paradigm and capacity of our platforms, raise the quality of our product and provide scalability by creating new automation frameworks, tools and tests.
Be part of a highly focused team that provides frameworks and cross-organization automatic solutions
Develop, maintain and improve automation framework to ensure the highest level of quality
Leading automation and frameworks tools and test developments to improve visibility and quality in the organization
Testing both in production and in staging environments on a huge scale.
Ownership of the CI/CD tools and processes
Collaborating with R&D in agile squads, as an integrated part of the development process and leading frameworks provider

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar proven experience as a quality software developer
At least 1-2 years of experience in OO languages (Java / C#) and experience with system automated tests development
Strong hands-on experience in designing and developing automation frameworks and infrastructure
Experience leading and a part of R&D large-scale projects in cross-organizational teams with cross-functional products.
Experience working through a complete product cycle (from initial design through post-release sustainment)
Deep knowledge of at least one test framework: NUnit, MStest, JUnit
Strong design, coding and debugging skills (hands-on)
Experience with CI/CD
Familiarity with agile or other software engineering methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, or others).
Proven experience with SQL Databases
Knowledge and scripting using PowerShell
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills both Hebrew & English
A team player with can-do approach
