As an Infrastructure Engineering Architect at Bungie, you'll design, build, and maintain in-house distributed build and bug processing systems crucial to their development pipeline. You'll collaborate with game teams to optimize workflows, work with operations to ensure system support, and address the unique challenges of live service games. Responsibilities include designing, building, testing, and maintaining production-quality code; repairing and improving existing systems; collaborating to create robust solutions; translating team goals into plans; mentoring engineers; leading technical projects; and participating in support rotations. This role requires expertise in C#, distributed systems, troubleshooting large systems, SQL, and communication.

As an Infrastructure Engineering Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining our in-house distributed build and bug processing systems, which are central to our development pipeline. You will collaborate with various game teams to parallelize and optimize their workflows, enhancing productivity and efficiency. By working closely with our operations team, you will ensure they have the necessary tools to support our systems and users. Additionally, you will address the unique challenges of continuously delivering live service games to our dedicated players.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, build, test, and maintain production-quality code
  • Repair and improve existing complex systems while minimizing regression risks
  • Collaborate daily with your team to create robust, performant, and maintainable solutions
  • Help translate team goals into clear, actionable plans
  • Mentor engineers and guide them through complex problem spaces
  • Lead medium to large-sized technical projects from concept through execution and delivery
  • Participate in a support rotation, during office hours, to ensure seamless operation of live service games

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Expertise in writing code in C#
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and best practices
  • Ability to conceptualize and troubleshoot large, proprietary systems and pipelines
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers from diverse technical and non-technical backgrounds
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring engineers

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Hands-on experience in building dynamic and responsive web applications using React or similar front-end frameworks
Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly). 

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range
$189,000$223,000 USD
