Renegade 83 seeks a Creative Development Intern to assist in creating and developing new ideas, formats, and documentaries for streaming and linear television. Responsibilities include sourcing new concepts, tracking trends, working on pitch decks and sizzle reels, conducting cast outreach and interviews, networking with industry professionals, attending meetings, and developing original ideas. The internship is part of Lionsgate's Summer 2025 program (June 10th - August 15th), requiring full-time availability (up to 36 hours/week) and on-site work in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate possesses a creative mind, understands cultural trends, appreciates unscripted television, and has strong communication skills. Basic knowledge of design software and social media is also beneficial.

Summary of Position

Renegade 83 is seeking a Creative Development intern. The intern will work directly with the development team to assist in the creation and development of new ideas, formats and documentaries that can be pitched to streaming and linear television.

Responsibilities

  • Source new ideas and concepts
  • Track trends and cultural moments
  • Work on pitch presentation decks and sizzle tapes
  • Conduct cast outreach and interviews
  • Build a network of creative professionals within the industry
  • Attend pitch meetings and client meetings
  • Develop a range of your own original ideas

Skills

  • Creative brain with the ability to think outside the box
  • Knowledge of the zeitgeist and cultural trends
  • Love and appreciation of unscripted television
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, Google Sheets, Excel

All interns are required to attend orientation on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025.

Details

  • Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Interns must be current rising juniors through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date)
  • Graduate students are eligible to apply
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
  • Most internship positions will require working 4 days in office
