This internship within the NAND Product Marketing team focuses on the competitive landscape of high-capacity SSDs. Responsibilities include market research using public sources and analyst reports, competitive analysis of product announcements and financial releases, collaborating with Product Planning to create competitive roadmaps, supporting Product Marketing Managers with data analysis for executive reports, and contributing to strategic decision-making. The role offers exposure to various business areas like Sales, Business Enablement, and Product Planning. The intern will gain experience in high-capacity SSD use cases, competitive landscapes, and product positioning within the enterprise SSD market.

What You’ll Learn

What You’ll Do

The NAND Product Marketing team is responsible for the pricing, allocation, and product strategy for SSDs within the Memory Business Unit. We perform data-driven analyses on the market, the industry, and the competition to drive insights that inform the strategic decisions at the executive level. This is a far-reaching role will have exposure to all areas of the business, such as Sales, Business Enablement, Product Planning, and external marketing.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose office/headquarters at least three days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

Reports to: Director of Marketing

  • Research NAND and SSD market and application segments using public news sources and analyst reports, and provide key takeaways to internal stakeholders
  • Perform competitive research by analyzing competitors’ product announcements and financial releases
  • Collaborate with Product Planning and SSD segment leads to create a competitive roadmap of Enterprise SSD product features, showing the current landscape as well as future trends
  • Support Product Marketing Managers with ad hoc research for weekly/biweekly reports to executive management, providing data and analysis on key issues impacting the business.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Pursuing Master’s degree in a scientific or business discipline, MBA preferred.
  • Must have at least 1 academic quarter/semester remaining.
  • Working knowledge of Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of financial metrics.
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor, SSD/storage, and server concepts.
  • High interest in learning about Datacenter and Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Effective communication and concise writing skills.
  • Collaborative working style, and proactive with your own learning.
  • You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.
  • An avid learner, you approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to help build understanding.

Hourly Base Pay Rate

$28 - $62 USD
