Job Description

As a Retail Marketing & Strategy Intern at Nintendo of America, you'll gain valuable experience in the video games and entertainment industries. You'll work with the Retail Marketing & Strategy team to understand the retail landscape, collaborate with cross-functional teams on marketing activities, and provide data-driven insights to impact future marketing strategies. This internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, networking opportunities, and exposure to industry leaders. You'll be part of a team dedicated to bringing smiles to millions worldwide.
Must have:
  • 3.0+ GPA
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program
  • Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Curiosity to learn and share insights
  • Shows initiative, action-oriented, and applies critical thinking
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and confidential environment with shifting priorities
  • Project management skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to work 40 hours a week onsite
Good to have:
  • Understanding of Nintendo's products

INTERN – RETAIL MARKETING & STRATEGY

Application Deadline: December 1, 2024

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Work with Nintendo’s Retail Marketing & Strategy team to gain a deep understanding of the video games & entertainment industries and retail landscape

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create and execute various marketing activities at retail

  • Provide key insights to impact future marketing strategies through a data driven approach

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3.0+ GPA

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with a graduation conferral date between May 2025 and June 2026

  • Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field

  • Curiosity to learn and share insights

  • Shows initiative, action-oriented, and applies critical thinking

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in fast-paced and confidential environment with shifting priorities

  • Project management skills with attention to detail

  • Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Understanding of Nintendo’s products preferred but not necessary

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Able to work 40 hours a week onsite throughout the course of the 10-week summer internship between June – September

This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time. Housing and travel support will be provided for non-local hires.

This internship includes a base pay range of $25 per hour, paid sick and safe time, and perks such as a local transit pass and access to the onsite fitness center. Given the limited duration of the role, interns are not eligible for full-time employee benefits such as healthcare or 401(k).
