Job Description

As an Investigator on the Extended Workforce Investigations team, you'll ensure objective and fair investigations for labor and HR compliance issues involving Google's extended workforce or suppliers. You'll devise, follow, and advise on protocols for HR issues and investigations, creating investigation documentation and recommendations. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining investigation data, conducting timely investigations, resolving grievances, and developing relationships with partners in Employment Legal, Employee Relations, and Regulatory Affairs. You'll provide risk insights, anticipate high-risk issues, and escalate supplier non-compliance to relevant teams. This role requires strong investigative skills, knowledge of HR compliance, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
4+ years in Employee/Workplace Relations, Compliance, Risk Management, or Employment Legal
Conduct timely investigations and grievance resolution
Prepare and maintain investigation data and documentation

Good to have:

Experience establishing best practices for investigation protocols
Project/program management and stakeholder management experience
Ability to influence leadership and work collaboratively in a team

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in Employee/Workplace Relations, Compliance, Risk management, Employment legal, HR program management.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience establishing best practices and knowledge management for investigation protocols and HR compliance issues, and in employee relations, employment law, or ethics and compliance.
Experience with project/program management and influencing leadership and stakeholder management.
Experience establishing domain knowledge, and exercising initiative across multiple workstreams and processes to influence organization to reach goals.
Ability to communicate opinions and recommendations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, be diplomatic and influence stakeholders, third-party/suppliers and international teams.

As an investigator on the Extended Workforce Investigations team, you will be part of a central team that ensures an objective and fair investigation process for labor and HR compliance matters which involve Google's extended workforce or their suppliers. In this role you will devise, follow, and advise on protocol for HR issues and investigations involving Google's extended workforce, and develop investigation documentation and recommendations for management.

Responsibilities

Prepare, track, and maintain investigation data and documentation, and conduct timely investigations and grievance resolution for violations of Google’s HR and extended workforce policies, Google’s code of conduct, and Google’s Supplier Code of Conduct.
Develop and maintain relationships with partners in Employment Legal, Employee Relations and Regulatory Affairs, and Security Investigations and Assessments.
Provide risk insights/trends to Product Areas and Extended Workforce Solutions to support their risk mitigation efforts.
Anticipate and escalate high-risk issues or supplier non-compliance to Product Areas and central functions like Procurement, Extended Workforce Solutions, and Employment Legal.
