Job Description

The FA Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. This role involves analyzing asset-related transactions, preparing reports, and supporting audits and financial planning activities. The analyst will maintain and reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger, record asset transactions, and ensure compliance. They will also prepare reports, assist with audits, collaborate with teams, and monitor capital project costs.
Must have:
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset sub-ledger.
  • Record acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare fixed asset reports and schedules.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with various teams on expenditures.
  • Monitor and analyze capital project costs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience.
  • Understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organization.
Good to have:
  • CPA or CMA certification (or working toward it).
  • Experience with Power Query, Power BI.
  • Knowledge of project accounting.

Job Summary:

The FA Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. This role involves analyzing asset-related transactions, preparing reports, and supporting audits and financial planning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger.
  • Record acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation of fixed assets.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to fixed assets.
  • Prepare fixed asset roll-forwards, schedules, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to track capital expenditures.
  • Monitor and analyze capital project costs and ensure timely capitalization.
  • Support system upgrades or implementations related to fixed asset modules (e.g., Oracle FA, SAP, JDE).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in accounting, preferably with a focus on fixed assets.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and fixed asset accounting.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, JDE) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CMA certification (or working toward it).
  • Experience with Power Query, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of project accounting and capital budgeting.
