Job Description

Naughty Dog seeks a Helpdesk Technician to provide first-line technical support for local and remote users. Responsibilities include building custom PCs, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, installing/repairing computer equipment, assisting with equipment setup and deployment, following up on user issues, documenting resolutions, escalating unresolved issues, managing IT hardware inventory, and handling shipping/receiving. The ideal candidate will have experience assembling/repairing high-end PCs, possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional customer service skills, and collaborate effectively within a team. The role requires proficiency in PC hardware, Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, and strong troubleshooting abilities.

This position is for temporary engagement through our staffing partner DZConneX. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for this position.

This role will be based fully on-site in Santa Monica, CA.

 

Naughty Dog is seeking a Helpdesk Technician to join our IT team in supporting our infrastructure and development team. This position will be the first line of technical support for local and remote users. The ideal candidate will have previous experience assembling/repairing custom high end PCs, technical hardware/software knowledge, exceptional customer service skills, and will be able to collaborate well in a team environment. The candidate would also have a strong passion for building PCs, customer service, problem solving, and supporting cutting edge hardware and software solutions. What will you do:

  • Build custom PC workstations on-site on a regular basis
  • Serve as first point of contact for hardware and software technical issues
  • Perform remote and local troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware, software, and peripherals for users
  • Assist with equipment setup and deployment to local and remote users
  • Follow up with users and see problems through to resolution
  • Document instructions and resolutions
  • Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support
  • Organization and inventory of IT hardware
  • Shipping and receiving IT hardware
  • Movement of user equipment and or servers throughout the office
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

What skills will you use:

  • Proficiency building PCs and working with PC hardware
  • Strong client-facing customer service and communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook

  • Operating Systems: Windows 11, Ubuntu
  • Languages: Python, SQL, PowerShell, Bash
  • Software: JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Perforce, Zendesk, Adobe Suite, EzOffice Inventory, Miro

  • Familiar with Sony PlayStation hardware and peripherals
