As an IT Infrastructure & Operations Analyst, you will maintain and optimize IT infrastructure, monitoring cloud and on-premise data centers, and providing technical assistance. Responsibilities include data center monitoring, database management, technical support, network troubleshooting, and system security. You will troubleshoot issues, manage databases, and collaborate with senior IT staff, ensuring system reliability and security. The role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. You'll create and maintain documentation, as well as work closely with senior IT professionals to improve IT services and infrastructure.
Must have:
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices.
  • Basic networking experience for troubleshooting.
  • Fluent in Italian and good English proficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
Good to have:
  • Experience with application servers like Wildfly or Apache Tomcat.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases.
  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Docker and configuration management tools like Ansible.

Overview of the Role:

In our CCH Tagetik IT Support team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting both cloud and on-premise data centers, delivering technical assistance to internal users, and ensuring the security and reliability of our IT systems. Your expertise in troubleshooting complex issues, managing databases, and collaborating with senior IT staff will be critical in enhancing our services and infrastructure. A strong attention to detail, combined with a proactive approach, will be key to ensuring the continuous improvement and stability of our IT environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Center Monitoring & Maintenance: Oversee both cloud and on-premise data centers, ensuring seamless operation by performing routine maintenance (e.g., updates, security patches, and resolving server-related issues). This includes monitoring local network devices and managing scheduled tasks to maintain optimal performance.

  • Database Management: Handle various database tasks, including the creation, cloning, and deletion of databases, as well as performing basic maintenance activities such as backup and recovery for MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SAP Hana.

  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to internal users, troubleshooting and resolving software and IT system issues through a ticketing system.

  • Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues to maintain system reliability and performance.

  • System Security: Conduct regular security monitoring to ensure the integrity of IT systems and data.

  • Documentation & Knowledge Base Management: Create, update, and maintain comprehensive operational documentation and contribute to the IT support knowledge base for ongoing reference.

  • Collaboration with Senior IT Staff: Work closely with senior IT professionals to implement continuous improvements in IT services and infrastructure.

 

Required Skills:

  • Server Operating Systems: Experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems.

  • IT Security Awareness: Knowledge of IT security best practices and principles.

  • Networking: Basic networking experience, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.

  • Languages Proficiency: fluent in Italian; good knowledge of English (at least B1 level).

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team and with senior IT staff.

  • Task Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently, focusing on urgency and importance.

 

Nice to have Skills

  • Application Servers: Experience with application servers like Wildfly or Apache Tomcat is a plus.

  • Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of relational databases and experience with database management systems is a plus.

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms is a plus.

  • Containers & Configuration Management: Familiarity with Docker and configuration management tools like Ansible is a plus.
