Liquidnitro Games is seeking an IT Manager to oversee and manage the company's IT infrastructure, security, and support systems. The role involves managing a team of IT specialists, ensuring smooth operation of IT services, implementing security best practices, managing IT budgets, and supporting technological needs. Key responsibilities include overseeing IT infrastructure, system administration, technical support, security and compliance, vendor management, project management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role, strong expertise in network administration, cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT infrastructure management, and hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers, Office 365, VPNs, and firewalls.

What’s in it?
The IT Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the company’s IT infrastructure, security, and support systems. This role requires a hands-on approach while also managing a small team of IT specialists and coordinating with external contractors. The IT Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all IT services, implementing best security practices, managing IT budgets, and supporting the company’s growing technological needs.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure & System Administration

  • Oversee the entire IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, cloud services, and software applications.
  • Ensure network reliability, security, and scalability to support business operations.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security policies.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies and best practices to safeguard company data.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, network architecture, and IT procedures.

Technical Support & End-User Management

  • Lead the IT support team to provide timely troubleshooting and technical assistance to employees.
  • Set up, configure, and manage hardware and software deployments for new hires and existing employees.
  • Establish SLA-driven IT support processes to ensure minimal downtime and improved response times.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on IT best practices and security measures.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect against threats such as phishing, malware, and data breaches.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing with external security partners.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws, IT governance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Establish backup and disaster recovery strategies to prevent data loss.

Vendor & External Contractor Management

  • Work closely with IT vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance of IT solutions.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and IT services to optimize costs and efficiency.
  • Monitor SLA adherence of third-party service providers and take corrective actions when necessary.

Project Management & Strategic IT Planning

  • Lead IT-related projects, such as infrastructure upgrades, cloud migration, and new technology implementations.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance business productivity.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality IT services.
  • Plan and implement IT scalability strategies to support business growth.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Build and manage an IT team, providing mentorship, training, and professional development.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics for the IT team to track efficiency and improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation within the IT department.

Skill Requirements:

  • 8+ years of IT experience, including at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Strong expertise in network administration, cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT infrastructure management.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers, Office 365, VPNs, firewalls, and enterprise IT solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage IT projects from start to finish.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience in managing IT budgets and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
