Job Description

The IT Manager will build and lead a high-performing team, ensuring smooth IT system operations and aligning IT with business goals. Responsibilities include addressing IT challenges, managing the Service Desk, deploying virtual machines, installing security tools and software upgrades, and optimizing solutions. The role involves documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and managing multiple projects. The IT Manager will also be responsible for Active Directory and VPN configuration, as well as vCentre management and troubleshooting. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of related experience with a Diploma/Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of Team Management with more than 5 team members.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, VMware, etc.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience with MS Office 365 and other business SaaS offerings.
  • Kubernetes, Linux, MS SQL, and Docker experience.
  • Understanding of the SDLC and Application Security Scanning Tools.
  • Experience with SaaS models and large-scale distributed web architectures.

Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:   * Build a high performing team through staff development, recruiting, and retention to support growing business needs * Delegate tasks, monitor team performance, and provide guidance to achieve organizational goals * Address complex IT challenges and provide effective solutions * Ensure the smooth functioning of IT systems, including all areas of IT and Cloud Infrastructure * Work with other departments to align IT operations with overall business objectives * Ensure all IT operations comply with company policies and regulatory requirements * Manages related Service Desk Tool queues and tickets * Resolve or escalate incidents and service requests, maintaining relevant records promptly and efficiently within SLA * Deployment and configuration of VMware Virtual Machines in vCentre and Azure * Installation and management of IT security tools * Build new systems and deploy application software * Install new software releases and system upgrades * Review of SOPs and documentation * Remote Desktop Gateway management, configuration, and troubleshooting * Configuration of monitoring tools * Optimizing solutions to improve performance, function, or costs * Ensure security is the cornerstone of the designs, services, and implementations * Building Dashboards and Reporting on monthly metrics * Documentation * Work with other functional teams to jointly deliver projects as well as being able to work as individual to complete smaller tasks * Active Directory management and troubleshooting * VPN Configuration and troubleshooting * General vCentre management and troubleshooting * Partner with Engineering, Development and Professional Services teams to ensure successful implementation of new technologies and assures SOP’s are accurately recorded and updated REQUIREMENTS: * Diploma/Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience * Strong leadership and communication skills * Minimum 3 years Team Management skills and experience - Must have managed a team with more than 5 team members * Experience with MS Office 365 and other business SaaS offerings a plus * Kubernetes, Linux, MS SQL, and Docker experience a plus * Understanding of the SDLC, Software and Database Deployment Methods, and Application Security Scanning Tools a plus * Problem-solving and decision-making abilities * Knowledge of Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, storage and backup devices, VMWare, Citrix and other solutions as necessary to fulfil job responsibilities. * Proficiency in server, storage and virtualization standards, techniques and tools. * Analytical/problem-solving skills. * Clear and concise verbal and written communication to all levels of the organization. * Effectively organize and prioritize work. * Simultaneously manage and deliver multiple projects or tasks. * Effectively collaborates with peers, cross-functional teams, team leaders and engineering to achieve end-to-end product and process quality. * Effectively influences others to ensure levels of quality and timeliness are met during the service improvement and delivery process * Ability to be available for possible after hours, standby work or shift work if required * Experience with SaaS models and large-scale distributed web architectures utilizing SaaS technologies is a plus
