WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

As Lead IT Project Manager your primary tasks will be to scope, plan, execute and report on global IT projects, collaborating with a mixture of colleagues from IT, various business units and offices, from all levels across the entire company and with externals. Part of the role includes responsibility for IT Strategy and Roadmap execution in cooperation with IT Management, technical team, and other stakeholders.

Group IT Service & Operations are responsible for delivering the IT Infrastructure & Support to all SimCorp business units, physical offices, and users. This includes several Datacenters, Cloud services, and cooperation with several SimCorp business units, and offices globally.

You will be an integrated part of Group IT longer term planning, architecture and design based on agreed strategies and technical roadmap.

In Group IT we are 90 employees responsible for delivering, maintaining and supporting SimCorp’s internal IT infrastructure, platforms, and business applications. In the IT Service & Operations department, we are 60 colleagues, placed in 12 SimCorp offices globally. You will therefore have a close cooperation with colleagues working in another office or time zone. You will collaborate every day with a highly skilled team that possesses a solid understanding of various technical areas and their applications.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Manage global IT Projects including scoping, planning and execution.
  • Build detailed plans with milestone, deliverables and dependencies, track progress and report obstacles
  • Cooperate with 3rd parties/external vendors to establish, maintain, and deliver according to a shared plan
  • Organize and delegate work. Motivate team members to meet project goals
  • Prioritizing work in the team backlog to best meet goals stated in IT Strategy and Roadmaps.​
  • Ensuring that the project backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the team will work on next
  • Act as a skilled sparring partner for stakeholders, team, and senior management

  • Demonstrated capability in managing IT projects, within an international IT company
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
  • Proficient execution power and drive to deliver on agreed strategies and roadmaps
  • Strategic mindset and proficient analytical skills with focus on business outcome and complete solutions
  • Effective collaboration skills across multiple levels and functions with both technical and business minded colleagues
  • Able to encourage and motivate teams and peers, and drive improvements across Group IT
  • You are structured and able to keep focus on several things, while maintaining a professional approach
  • Collaborative and contributing to a good team spirit
  • Comfortable operating with minimal supervision and a high sense of ownership, taking responsibility for project outcomes and decisions
