IT Support Engineer

Sunrise Animation is pleased to announce the production of DAVID, a major animated feature film that tells the story about one of the most captivating characters in all of human history. The IT Support Engineer provides installation, maintenance, and support services for our staff in the Western Hemisphere. Sunrise has a team spread across the globe and is looking to expand the support in the Americas region. If you have strength and experience in this area, we would love to hear from you. This primarily includes desktop support, Linux and Mac, but Windows as well, software support for CG applications and tools, hosted services support, server software and hardware support, and essential network support. The successful candidate will work with our IT, pipeline, and CG team to ensure an efficient and effective studio technical environment. They will troubleshoot and resolve any ongoing, or new issues. We are looking for a team player, self-starter, and adaptable to a fast changing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide day-to-day IT help desk support for the studio’s 3D artists, producers, and executive team, primarily in the Western Hemisphere. 
• Maintain the network, desktop, server, and software environment
• Evaluate applications and software patches for desktop applications to see if they will solve desktop issues
• Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the company’s desktop environment
• Proven ability to offer high-level desktop support in an enterprise environment
• Experience in Linux system administration 

BONUS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

• Diploma in Computer Engineering or a similar field, or a relevant certificate
• Corporate IT experience
• Interest in Software Development/Scripting
  
• Excellent communication and administration skills in order to manage the flow of issues between our teams in different regions
• Experience using AWS services

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work the hours of 13:00-22:00 UTC.
