Job Description

As a Java Developer at Apexon, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining high-quality, maintainable code for complex software solutions. You will collaborate effectively with client project teams, mentor junior developers, and leverage your expertise in object-oriented design and programming. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing solutions, applying domain-driven design, working with data models, and integrating APIs. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to data upliftment, population, and process reviews, ensuring seamless data distribution. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work with subject matter experts, and an independent mindset.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a computational field
  • Strong object-oriented design and programming skills
  • Experience in OO languages (Java)
  • Experience applying domain-driven design
  • Deep understanding of data model upliftment
  • Experience with data distribution
  • Experience integrating APIs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Independent thinker
Good to have:
  • Financial Services industry experience
  • Experience in distributed system design
  • Experience with Pure/Alloy
  • Working knowledge of open-source tools such as AWS lambda, Prometheus

You'll be responsible for: 
  • Producing high-quality, maintainable code 
  • Supporting in the design and development of complex software solutions 
  • Partnering effectively with client project teams 
  • A natural ability to mentor junior developers 
You’ll have: 
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a team-focused environment 
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a computational field (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline) 
  • Strong object-oriented design and programming skills and experience in OO languages (Java) 
  • Experience or interest in functional programming languages 
  • Proven experience applying domain-driven design to build complex business applications 
  • Deep understanding and experience of data model upliftment, data population, collaboration with ops, and process reviews. 
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in data distribution, particularly in disseminating lake-based data. 
  • Experience with Integrating APIs. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with subject matter experts to extract critical business concepts 
  • Independent thinker, willing to engage, challenge or learn 
  • Ability to stay commercially focused and to always push for quantifiable commercial impact 
  • Strong work ethic, a sense of ownership and urgency 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and communicate complex ideas in a simple manner 
It would be great if you have: 
  • Financial Services industry experience 
  • Experience in distributed system design 
  • Experience with Pure/Alloy 
  • Working knowledge of open-source tools such as AWS lambda, Prometheus
