The Senior Data Management Engineer will design, implement, and maintain data migration solutions and automation for Smarsh's Data Management Program. Responsibilities include architecture and design of migration solutions, technical documentation, module development, and project plan execution. The role requires a strong coding background in Java and experience in building microservices in AWS. Candidates should also have experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and software development fundamentals. The ideal candidate possesses strong documentation skills and the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Our Data Management team is responsible for all data management needs for Professional Archive and Enterprise Archive clients. The Sr. Data Management Engineer designs, implements, and maintains legacy data migration solutions, tools, and other automation required to build and manage the Data Migration and Data Engineering components of Smarsh's Data Management Program.

What will you do?

Architecture & Design of Migration Solutions
Technical Documentation including Requirements analysis, Data Flow & Other Design Illustration, Migration Solution Module Development, and other Development as needed
Develop and Execute Project Plans
Participate in peer reviews
Source code version control

What will you bring?

Systems and Solution Architecture Experience
Compliance Archiving Experience
Strong coding background in Java
Experience building micro services in AWS
Fluency in Linux and Windows operating systems
Software Development fundamentals for architecting and driving Data Management projects
Practicing strong software hygiene including version control, dependency management, unit testing, and deployment strategies
Diligent documentation habits
Ability to design and roadmap productized code
The ability to prioritize activities and deliver projects on time and within budget.
An attitude of extreme ownership
BS / MS degree in computer science, MIS, IT, math or related field with 10+ years software design, development & solutions architecture, experience, with 5+ years financial services applications / customer experience

₡2,400,000 - ₡2,800,000 a month

The above salary range represents Smarsh's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. Any applicable bonus programs will be discussed during the recruiting process.

The salary for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, location, specialty and training.

Local cost of living assessments are done for each new hire at the time of offer.
