Job Description

The JIRA Administrator will be responsible for understanding the current processes, identifying gaps, gathering requirements to develop and deliver customized applications/projects to meet the organizational demands. They will advise the business on JIRA best practices, implement system improvements, platform migrations, and upgrades. They will create and administer JIRA projects, queries, and reports. Additionally, they will install and configure plugins to extend JIRA capabilities, design custom JIRA workflows, develop JIRA templates, customize JIRA workflows, and work with stakeholders. They will monitor JIRA databases and copy data from PROD to TEST instance when requested, and provide/configure JIRA for manual processes.
Must have:
  • Masters/Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years experience in supporting JIRA.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Understanding of Web Technologies (Cloud/AWS, Jira, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Java).
  • Configuring & managing development & testing sandboxes.
  • Develops and maintains integrations between Celigo and other systems.
  • Understand tools ITIL support framework.
  • Creates logic flow charts and process diagrams based on needs.

Your Role

Celigo powers integration for a large number of customers across the globe through our Integrator.io iPaaS platform. Several millions of transactions flow through this platform on a daily basis to several destinations. We own mission critical, large scale services in the area of iPaaS for our customers. The challenges include developing and owning highly scalable services in our production on cloud environments. 

 

The JIRA Administrator will be responsible for understanding the current process, identifying gaps, gathering requirements to develop and deliver customized applications/projects to meet the organizational demands.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Masters/Bachelors degree required in Computer Science/Engineering, Software Engineering or Equivalent discipline.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in supporting JIRA
  • Ability to communicate, written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of Web Technologies (Cloud/Amazon Web Services, Jira, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Java)
  • Configuring & managing development & testing sandboxes
  • Develops and maintains integrations between Celigo and other systems
  • Understand tools ITIL support framework to ensure strong understanding of processes
  • Creates logic flow charts and process diagrams based on needs

 

What would you do, if hired?

  • Advise the business on Jira best practices, while taking a hands-on approach to implementing necessary system improvements, platform migrations, and upgrades.
  • Create, copy, and administer JIRA projects
  • Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports. 
  • Install and configure plugins and deploy to extend JIRA capabilities, make dashboards for JIRA Connect add-ons, configure custom fields, support JIRA configurations. 
  • Design custom JIRA workflow for different issue types to assist in Automation of provisioning, build & deploy servers and applications as well as other continuous integration workflows. 
  • Develop JIRA templates, complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission scheme and notification schemes in JIRA
  • Work with stakeholders on customizing JIRA workflow
  • Work with JIRA to enable custom workflows, screens, fields and dashboards
  • Work independently with stakeholders to design and deliver JIRA workflows to meet the stated and unstated business requirements
  • Monitor JIRA databases and copy data from PROD to TEST instance, when requested
  • Able to provide/ configure JIRA for manual processes

  • Brings a solid understanding of how infrastructure software components work.
  • Has experience working in globally distributed teams.
  • Has demonstrated ability to automate tasks using high level language.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment, working with a highly-talented team and shifting priorities.
  • Learns quickly; must know when to listen, and when to take charge.
