About the job
As a Visualizer, you are a creative, prolific thinker and doer —contributing to concepts and hands-on production in collaboration with the creative team. You would be required to work on visual concepts that could be used for print, web, audiovisual, or any innovative medium. You are passionate about the use of graphic design as a strategic tool for communication and must work towards achieving excellence in the areas of typography, illustration, design, and layout that together comprise effective visual communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Exploring and conceptualizing design options and solutions
- Working on design & layout that would include the initial handwork, scribbles, design balancing, key subject highlighting and color planning
- Working on the typography: font selection, size selection, text layout
- Knowledge of visual communications and letterforms including art materials, drawing, and fabrication techniques
- Maintaining / Organizing files or designs
- Working with photographers and contribute to photography sessions to ensure the appropriate photo/image is taken
- Managing certain client projects independently when required
- Demonstrating attention to detail to deliver a perfect final output in the form of print ready-artwork or jpegs for web
SKILLS, ABILITIES, and BACKGROUND:
- Bachelor’s Degree in fine arts/Graphic Design from a leading Commercial Arts / Fine Arts Institute
- Good artistic sense with a keen interest in design and layout
- Must be familiar with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- 1-2 years experience with an advertising agency/ design studio as a Graphic Designer/ Visualizer
- Should have worked on projects in the print (brochures, calendars, reports, mailers, etc.) and Digital (websites, banners, etc.) medium
- Have the ability to work on multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while ensuring attention to detail
